First Line Fridays | Falling For The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

First Line Fridays

HAPPY FRIDAY!

First Line Fridays is a bookish meme created and hosted byย Hoarding Books. The rules are simple, post the first line(s) of the novel youโ€™re currently reading or in my case next up on your TBR. then head on over to Hoarding Books and link up. (also, if youโ€™re a romance reader loving on those ab covers, be sure to write (mature) next to your linky if your post shows mature content.)

Today I’m featuring the first lines of a novel I recently finished reading.

The flight from Los Angeles to San Antonio is nothing special, but I enjoy stealing glances at the clouds out the window. Stuck between a snoring man and a coughing woman, all I want to do is sprayย myself with Lysol, but I settle for rushing off the plane once we land.

About The Book

Falling For The Cowboy
(Bedtime Reads #3)

By: Kennedy Fox

Blurb:

Never trust a man who wears nothing more than a cowboy hat and ripped jeans who asks if youโ€™d like to save a horse and ride a . . . well, you get the picture.

That shouldโ€™ve been enough for me to walk away.

Iโ€™ve been warned on several occasions about southern menโ€”with their sexy accents, charming manners, and the ability to easily get any woman in bedโ€”which is something Iโ€™ll be avoiding.

Being a professional photographer has many perksโ€”traveling around the world, calling all the shots, and working with subject matter that isnโ€™t bad to look atโ€”but Colton Langston with his washboard abs and baby blue eyes, could care less about my current project. Heโ€™s trouble, I know it, and heโ€™s determined to make me work for every single photo. When Iโ€™m forced into riding lessons, I get way more than I ever bargained for, and by the time my trip is over, Iโ€™m in too deep.

Being with him was thrilling, but falling for him was unpredictable.
And ignoring him will be impossible.

A Few Quick Thoughts:

I went into Falling For The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox expecting to like it, but I was completely blown away by the fact that I actually really loved this one. Colton is a swoony cowboy with a heart of gold and Presley is a stubborn city girl with dreams of seeing the world through a photographers lens. I loved the whole premise of this novel. City girl falling for a cowboy ranch hand, yes please! I seriously need more cowboy book boyfriends in my life!

  1. Happy Friday!
On my blog today I’m sharing the first line from True Nobility by Lori Bates Wright but I have no extra line to share right now b/c I’m currently in-between books and getting ready to head out to Snow Camp with the youth group. Brrrrr! Hope you have a great weekend!

      1. Snow camp is where we go away with the middle and high school youth groups (grades 6-12) for the weekend. There’s a lessons in the morning and evening and the rest of the day is split between free time and scheduled activities

  2. I’m sharing the first line of Maybe It’s You by Christy Hayes, but I’m currently reading The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers, so I’ll share that first line:

Roman Valesco climbed the fire escape and swung over the wall onto the flat roof.
