WWW Wednesday is a weekly book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Each week there are three questions to answer.
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you plan on reading next?
I am (yet again) behind on my tbr… Last week I was ahead of the game….and then the (unfortunately) the adulting had to begin and the winterizing everything outside had to get done….Now that everything is done, I’m back to nonstop reading and now playing catch up.

I couldn’t wait any longer, this morning I started an arc of The Boy I Grew Up With by TIJAN! Oh my lord, I missed the fallen crest world so freaking much. Heather is one of my favorite characters and I’ve always loved the little glimpses of her and Channing’s relationship. their relationship was always so intriguing to me. I’m so freaking happy Tijan decided to write their story!!! Ah, I am halfway through and am freaking loving this book! Highly recommend to all that loved the fallen crest world!!!!

I have loved Channing Monroe all my life.
In first grade, he asked for my Trapper Keeper.
I hit him in the head with it.
Third grade, we were best friends. We kissed in seventh grade.
Eighth grade, he turned into a bad boy and the rest was a tumultuous storm.
Growing up, the problem was never love for us.
Bad times. Good times. There were times when I felt our love in every inch of my body, vibrating, making me feel like it could bring me back to life.
The problem was us.
The problem is that we’re living in two different worlds now.
Fallen Crest and its millionaires for me. Roussou and their criminals for him. I was thriving in mine and he was running his.
But…
But there were nights I felt we couldn’t be further apart than we were, and there were nights I felt we shared the same heartbeat.
When was it time?
When was it time to either sacrifice, make a change, or walk away from the boy I grew up with?
I’m also reading an arc of I Bet You by Ilsa Madden-Mills. I’m a little over 30% and so far I’m liking Penelope and Ryker’s oddball relationship, it’s a fun read but sadly, I’m predicting the outcome of this one already.

Sexy Athlete: I bet you…
Penelope Graham: Burn in hell, quarterback.
The text is random but Penelope figures out exactly who “Sexy Athlete” is. And why she shouldn’t take his wager.
Ryker Voss.
Football star.
Walks on water and God’s gift to women.
Just ask him.
His bet? He promises Penelope he’ll win her the heart of the guy she’s been crushing on. His plan—good old-fashioned jealousy. Once her crush sees her kissing Ryker, he’ll realize what he’s missing. Sounds legit, right? The only question is…why is Ryker being so nice to her?
Penelope Graham.
Virgin.
Lover of sparkly vampires and calculus.
His mortal enemy.
Penelope knows she shouldn’t trust a jock, but what’s a girl to do when she needs a date to Homecoming? And Ryker’s keeping a secret, another bet, one that could destroy Penelope’s heart forever.
Will the quarterback score the good girl or will his secrets mean everyone loses this game of love?
*Author’s Note: This is a standalone sports romance with an HEA.
**You do not have to have read I Dare You, although you should if you love jocks and nerdy heroines. Xo

Finally, it feels like a long time since I finished a paperback from my bookshelf tbr. The Player by K. Bromberg was a great read! I loved the endless banter between Scout and Easton! This was such a fun story, until the ending that is. I can’t wait to pick up The Catch and see what happens next with Scout and Easton….. I rated The Player 5 out of 5 Stars! My review will be posted soon.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in the renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to side in the club’s best interest if he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat or is one of them bound to get burned?
I also finished an advanced copy of Fall by Kristen Callihan. I loved the witty banter between Jax and Stella. I also loved the fact that even though this novel felt like such a fun read, there was also a serious aspect to it. Having went through depression I completely understand the struggles Jax felt and I praise Kristen Callihan for shining a light on a situation that is so easily passed over and swept under the rug. I can’t wait to re-read this one!

The first time I met Jax Blackwood things went a little sideways.
In my defense, I didn’t know he was Jax Blackwood—who expects a legendary rock star to be shopping for groceries? More importantly, a blizzard was coming and he was about to grab the last carton of mint-chocolate chip.
Still, I might have walked away, but then he smugly dared me to try and take the coveted ice cream. So I kissed him. And distracted that mint-chip right out of his hands.
Okay, it was a dirty move, but desperate times and all that. Besides, I never expected he’d be my new neighbor.
An annoying neighbor who takes great pleasure in reminding me that I owe him ice cream but would happily accept more kisses as payment. An irresistible neighbor who keeps me up while playing guitar naked–spectacularly naked–in his living room.
Clearly, avoidance is key. Except nothing about Jax is easy to ignore—not the way he makes me laugh, or that his particular brand of darkness matches mine, or how one look from him melts me faster than butter under a hot sun.
Neither of us believes in love or forever. Yet we’re quickly becoming each other’s addiction. But we could be more. We could be everything.
All we have to do is trust enough to fall.
I also finished an advanced copy of Reveling In Sin by Meghan March! Whitney and Lincoln’s story has come to an end and I couldn’t love this trilogy more if I tried! I have been relentlessly waiting to read Reveling In Sin until it was closer to release date! I knew once I dived into this one I would want to discuss and talk about all of the epicness that this conclusion contains! Holy Crap, this was the ending of all endings. So much stuff went down in a matter of pages. So many Jaw Dropping moments!

No matter who or what stands in our way—this time, she’ll be mine forever.

Oh my gosh! I have been waiting for someone to say they’ve been reading Tijan’s book! I finished it already and LOVED it. I missed that world so freaking much. I could have read a whole series about Channing and Heather!
I’ve been dying to get to this one since it arrived on my kindle! I’m “trying” to read it slow and take it all in but it’s so hard. I want all the words and all the feels!
I had such a book hangover after it. I’m still dealing with it a bit. LOL.
