I’m obsessed with this one, I’m loving everything about it. But I have to say, this is a long ass novel…. It’s taking me quite some time to get through this novel.

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the popular Black Dagger Brotherhood series comes a brand-new novel about arson investigator, Ann Ashburn, who is consumed by her troubled past, her family’s scorched legacy, and her current case: chasing a deadly killer.
Anne Ashburn is a woman consumed…
By her bitter family legacy, by her scorched career as a firefighter, by her obsession with department bad-boy Danny McGuire, and by a new case that pits her against a fiery killer.
Strong-willed Anne was fearless and loved the thrill of fighting fires, pushing herself to be the best. But when one risky decision at a warehouse fire changes her life forever, Anne must reinvent not only her job, but her whole self.
Shattered and demoralized, Anne finds her new career as an arson investigator a pale substitute for the adrenaline-fueled life she left behind. She doesn’t believe she will ever feel that same all-consuming passion for her job again–until she encounters a string of suspicious fires setting her beloved city ablaze.
Danny McGuire is a premiere fireman, best in the county, but in the midst of a personal meltdown. Danny is taking risks like never before and seems to have a death wish until he teams up with Anne to find the fire starter. But Danny may be more than a distraction, and as Anne narrows in on her target, the arsonist begins to target her.

Dear Mister.. . . no, too formal.
Hey there sweet cheeks. . . no, too forward.
Clears throat
To whom it may concern,
Full disclosure; before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer—because it was free.
I think it’s important to be open and honest with your co-workers, don’t you?
So here I am, being open and honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.
I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. But what they don’t know is your bark is worse than your bite. And that bite doesn’t scare me. The fact is, I’d love that bite of yours to nip at my bare skin while we’re both wearing nothing but sheets.
For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.
And as long as we’re being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes me want to loosen your tie and show you exactly who’s boss.
Love,
Sincerely,
Yours

I recently finished Faux Pas by Natasha Madison. This one was okay. I was expecting a little more from the story itself. The characters were enjoyable and I seriously loved the travel side of things. But I needed a little more. I gave Faux Pas a 3.5 star rating. Check out my review here!

A vacation fling wasn’t what she was looking for, or was it?
Six days in Paris, that was the plan. Keep my head down, do my duty, and then I’d go back to my vineyard. It was smooth sailing until she came into the restaurant and sent back my newest full-bodied, savory creation.
I ignored her until she stormed out of the restaurant looking for a taxi at one in the morning. The gentleman I was, I couldn’t leave her wandering around the streets of Paris, could I?
I’d give her a ride, make sure she was safe, and it would be done. Except it wasn’t.
Something about her pulled at me. With one drunken moment and a simple question, everything went haywire.
This could be the vacation fling of a lifetime. After all, there is no real reason for her to know my life story and all my secrets.
I’m France’s most eligible bachelor.
This ‘faux pair’ is almost a faux pas…

I have a few advanced copies to read this month. I am hoping to get ahead of my arc tbr this week so I can start on my paperback tbr. So for the remainder of the week, I’ll be diving into Arcs.
AHH! I freaking love Heidi McLaughlin and her Beaumont series….both generations… I love the strong family values that come along with both series. I’ve read the first two books in The Beaumont Series: 2nd Generation and both novels completely swept me away. Since the start I’ve been anticipating Quinn James’s story! AHH, It’s Finally ON MY KINDLE and I’ve been dying to forget about everything else going on in my life just so I can start Quinn’s story…..Ugh, I hate being responsible!!!!

Music is his passion. It’s in his blood. Yet, Quinn James isn’t sure if stardom is right for him. His family wants him to join a band, and follow in his father’s footsteps but fear holds him back. He can’t explain it, and when he tries, no one understands what he’s afraid of or why he’s content playing coffee shop gigs where no one knows him.
Eleanora Boone wants to live her life, not the one her very southern parents planned for her, which is why she chose a college thousands of miles away. Now she’s faced with returning home or doing something that would defy her family. When an opportunity to visit Los Angeles falls in her lap, she uses it to become someone different.
California is everything Eleanora thought it would be, and even more so when she meets Quinn, the shy, reserved and brooding musician who’s the complete opposite of the guys she’s used to back home.
For the first time, Quinn’s smitten. The new, mysterious waitress has him wrapped around her finger, and he finds that he is finally able to open up and trust someone outside of his family circle.
But living a different life comes with its risks, and for Eleanora, that risk is a secret that has the power to destroy both of them.
It has been some time since I dived into an MMA novel. MMA used to be my favorite Sports trope! I love the rawness that comes along with these sports themed novels. I requested a copy of SIn and Ink by Naima Simone for two reasons. The first being I have yet to read anything by Naima Simone and I’m always looking to add new authors to my list. And second being, the freaking blurb sounds so intriguing I couldn’t not push request on this one! I cannot wait to start this one!

There’s sin, and then there’s literally going-straight-to-hell sin…
Being in lust with my dead brother’s wife pretty much guarantees that one day I’ll be the devil’s bitch. But Eden Gordon works with me, so it’s getting harder and harder to stay away. I promised my family—and him—I would, though.
My days as an MMA champion are behind me. But whenever I see her, with those wicked curves and soft mouth created for dirty deeds, it’s a knock-down fight to just maintain my distance. “Hard Knox” becomes more than just the name of my tattoo shop. However, surrendering to the forbidden might be worth losing everything…
Out of all the books on my tbr this month… Listen, Pitch is the one I’m most excited to read! Ah, I freaking love the hell out of this series. Each book keeps getting better and better! I’ve been waiting for Rhys Rivera’s story since the beginning! I can’t wait to dive into this bad boy!

Rhys Rivera is the star short-stop for the Longview Lumberjacks. Many know him, even more love him. He has a pretty face, a quick smile, and an air of danger about him that everyone seems to adore.
He’s not known as the bad boy of baseball for nothing.
It all started with his father, who decided to be a criminal mob boss, then die.
Fortunately for his uncle, Rhys wants absolutely nothing to do with the family business and runs before anyone can figure out which way is up.
By the time his uncle, the successor to his father’s criminal empire, thinks to look for him, Rhys has made too big of a name for himself to be taken out quietly, and he wants to keep it that way.
Fast forward eight years, and Rhys is living life one breath at a time, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. That shoe coming in the form of a nosy neighbor who has no idea just how hot she is in her mail carrier uniform.
Her sweet little body and positive outlook on life make him want to laugh at how naïve she is when it comes to the way of the world.
The harder he tries to stay away, the weaker he seems to get, until one day he decides to put his morals on hold long enough to satisfy his cravings.
One time is all he needs—or so he tells himself.
But then two pink lines change everything, and all of a sudden, he doesn’t have just himself to worry about anymore.
I have a huge weekly tbr to get through, I highly doubt I’ll be able to get through all of the novels I listed above in one week….but here’s to wishful thinking….
What are you reading this week?
