Hey everyone, and welcome to another blogger bits. If you all are new to the scene let me break this down for you. Every two weeks some kick ass bloggers and I join forces and come up with a bookish category to discuss.
Today’s bookish prompt is all about the books that shocked the living hell right out of us!! If you decide to follow along with us this week just drop your link in the comments and I’ll add you to the bottom of my post! I’m so excited for this prompt! It takes a hell of a lot for me to be shocked, whether it be caused by a nasty cliffhanger or a serious plot twist, these books have managed to do just that!

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover is probably the book that shocked me the most out of all. This book surprised and shocked me due to the fact that the content is so freaking real! I didn’t read spoilers…and if you haven’t read IEWU yet, I highly suggest you go into this book blind! This book all around is one big shockfest!
A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole is another book that surprised me. What shocked me the most was the deep emotional connection I felt with these characters. I wasn’t expecting to love this book as much as I did. I wasn’t expecting to cry buckets of tears, but I did. and most of all I wasn’t expecting for this book to literally tear my heart out of my chest and stomp on it. But it did. This story will always hold a special place in my slightly bruised and beaten heart. It’s a novel that I feel everyone should experience a time or two in their lives!
Now heading into a totally different direction is Pitch Dark by A.M. Wilson and Alex Grayson. This book is all about the shock factor! Every corner is a new twist and every turn is a new WTF moment. Being completely honest, I’m not a huge suspense/mystery person, I usually find I’m way to anxious for these types of novels. But I took a chance because Alex Grayson is freaking awesome…and…I was completely blown away and shell-shocked by this novel! I highly recommend to all that love a good mind f*ck!!!!
Wrecked by JB Salsbury is on my list because of the simple fact that this novel is so brutally realistic. It deals with a soldier living with PTSD and around the ending there is a moment that was so…REAL..it had me crying for this man. My heart legit broke for him! It was a shocking moment that deserves to be in my top ten.
What Might Kill Us by M.N. Forgy, is shocking all the way around! This is Bulls story but can be read as a standalone. Bull is vicious and brutal and everything that a true alpha male is about. I honestly was ‘shocked’ by this man…the most shocking moment I have read is at the end of this novel. as for the rest of the book, there was some crazy shit that happened in this novel! Like….EXTREMELY CRAZY!!!

It was the ultimate tear jerker!!!
I read this right after my Grams’ funeral to take my mind off everything….yeah that didn’t work. I was bawling within the first few chapters.

I seriously need to read Pitch Black! It sounds fantastically intense!

I just read your review for Father Figure on goodreads and added it to my tbr! I’m always looking for books outside of my norm and this book sounds so good!
I still haven’t been able to push myself to read IEWU. I got a couple things spoiled and I’m not sure my heart would be strong enough. We’ll see. I feel that it’s inching its way too the top of the TBR.
I started listening to A Thousand Boy Kisses and had to stop. I felt like it was a book that I should read instead. I need to pick it back up after reading this post.
