Defiant Queen is the second book in the Mount trilogy. If you haven’t had a chance to read Ruthless King yet, I highly suggest you wait to read Defiant Queen. This is not a standalone and starts up right where Ruthless King left off.
Yes! Finally I get answers on what makes Lachlan Mount tick and why he is such a stone cold asshole! I loved Defiant Queen just a little bit more than Ruthless King for one particular reason…..Mount’s Point of View! My heart is literally breaking for this man for the way he grew up that made him into the vicious man he is today.
As I said in my Ruthless King review, I am so glad I waited to read this trilogy until all the books were released. I feel for those who had to wait for Sinful Empire.
I highly recommend this series for all of those who like steamy novels with a dark vibe!
