October Book Haul

20171028_171326.jpg

Hello November, Goodbye October.

If you all follow me on Bookstagram you may already know about this book haul but let me go into full #booknerd mode for a minute. I am so excited to share that I went into Barnes and Noble with a set dollar limit of thirty dollars and two coupons. I am happy to announce I did stuck to my thirty dollar limit. What made this visit even better, B&N was holding their annual trick or treat scavenger hunt while I was there.

I’ve never seen so many Harry Potters’ in my life in one place!

So onto this infamous book haul. You all are probably aware by now that I am a thrifty buyer, but Saturday I’ve done something that usually sends my stomach aching, I bought two books by list price….well, until you factor in my B&N membership discount and my two coupons the rest of the books in this haul i bought used. I’ll start with the two new (well, new to me) books first:

I cannot wait to start The Farthest Edge! I am addicted to the covers for Kristen Ashley’s Honey series!

The Farthest Edge
(The Honey series #2)

by: Kristen Ashley

Step into the Honey Club, where every sensual boundary will be tested in search of the ultimate pleasure…

Branch doesn’t exist. Living off the grid, he’s looking for a way to forget his past and the guilt that plagues him. But no woman has ever been able to bring him to the edge he craves.

After a traumatic experience of her own, Evangeline stepped away from the decadent world of the Honey Club. But when she gets Branch’s offer—to play without boundaries or commitments—it’s too tempting for her to refuse.
As their passion ignites, Evangeline and Branch push each other to their farthest limit, fulfilling their darkest desires while falling harder and deeper than they ever imagined.

Finally!!! I have a Katy Evans book on my shelf. What better way to start a shelfie collection than with the man himself! Love me some Remy!

Remy
(Real #3)

by: Katy Evans

Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there’s been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he’s ever had to fight for.

While out I picked up Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward. I’m so excited to add-on to my J.R. Ward collection. I’m a little sporadic when it comes to buying these books out-of-order but I’m getting somewhere! Does anyone else hate how some of the books are only in mass market paperback? Seriously, its messing with my bookshelf OCD.

Lover Eternal
(Black Dagger Brotherhood series #2)

by: J.R. Ward

Within the brotherhood, Rhage is the vampire with the strongest appetites. He’s the best fighter, the quickest to act on his impulses, and the most voracious lover-for inside him burns a ferocious curse cast by the Scribe Virgin. Owned by this dark side, Rhage fears the time when his inner dragon is unleashed, making him a danger to everyone around him.

Mary Luce, a survivor of many hardships is unwittingly thrown into the vampire world and reliant on Rhage’s protection. With a life-threatening curse of her own, Mary is not looking for love. She lost her faith in miracles years ago. But when Rhage’s intense animal attraction turns into something more emotional, he knows that he must make Mary his alone. And while their enemies close in, Mary fights desperately to gain life eternal with the one she loves…

I was so excited to find these two beauties by Samantha Young. I already own *Fall From India Place* (book 4 in the On Dublin Street series) so I’m really happy to own Books 1 and 2 now!

On Dublin Street
(On Dublin Street #1)

by: Samantha Young

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well—until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her… down to the very soul.

Down London Road
(On Dublin Street #2)

by: Samantha Young

Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control…

It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may—or may not—fly.

But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable. The sexy new bartender at work gives her butterflies every time she looks at him. And for once, Jo is tempted to put her needs first. Cam is just as obsessed with getting to know Jo, but her walls are too solid to let him get close enough to even try.

Then Cam moves into the flat below Jo’s, and their blistering connection becomes impossible to ignore. Especially since Cam is determined to uncover all of Jo’s secrets… even if it means taking apart her defenses piece by piece.

I’ve seen this book a lot lately around the book sites. After reading the synopsis I decided I had to have it. I’d like to read the first three books first before jumping into this one.

When I Need You
(Need You #4)

by: Lorelei James

Rules are tossed aside when a pro football player join forces with a spitfire cheerleading coach in New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James’s brand-new romance…

Heir to Lund Enterprises and ladies’ man Jensen “The Rocket” Lund has three conditions when it comes to dating:
1) No single mothers
2) No cheerleaders
3) No medical personnel
So it makes no sense that he’s wildly attracted to Rowan Michaels, who breaks all three.

Rowan Michaels didn’t pass the rigorous requirements to become an athletic trainer and Vikings cheerleader in the hopes of landing a pro athlete: been there, done that, and she has a young son as proof that football players and fidelity don’t go hand in hand. When Rowan learns her new neighbor is Jensen Lund, the smoking-hot tight end who takes being neighborly to a whole new level, she’s grateful for the team’s strict “no fraternization” policy because the sexy man defines temptation.

But Jensen is intent on rushing straight to the goal line to prove to Rowan he’s much more than just a player…on and off the field.

Wanted (Most Wanted, #1)

After writing this post up, I almost forgot this beauty. I also picked up Wanted by J. Kenner.

Wanted
(Most Wanted #1)

by: J. Kenner

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You, and Release Me comes an all-new erotic series of three enigmatic and powerful men, and the striking women who can bring them to their knees.

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.

Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.

My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.

And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Wanted is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

There you all have it. I ended up spending a grand total of $27.77! Not to bad for the titles I bought. This will be the last book haul for me until 2017. We have a rule in my house. When November comes we aren’t allowed to buy anything for ourselves. We’ll see how long that lasts Ha-ha.

Peace Love and Happy Reading,

Staircase (1)
