From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans comes a brand new contemporary romance. WOMANIZER is a full length standalone, and no other books in the series need to be read.
You’ve seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away!
We were just two strangers. Facing a forbidden attraction, a chemical connection. Neither of us expected or wanted it to amount to more.
But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother’s best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned.
Even knowing I should stay away, I proved to be too human, after all.
The chemistry was amazing.
The laughs were incredible.
I opened up to him in more ways than I’d opened up to anyone before.
But sex was as far as I’d go.
Just sex because he was too irresistible.
Just sex because I wouldn’t be falling for him.
Just sex because I’d leave in three months, and I’d like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret.
He wasn’t the One.
He was just a womanizer.
But for a time, he would be mine.

My Review:
Callan and Olivia’s story is captivating and highly addictive. Be prepared to be up all night long with Callan!
I’m a little behind on the manwhore series by Katy Evans. I cannot tell a lie HEHE Womanizer is the first novel in this series that I have read. This novel can be read as a standalone but it has mentions of other character in the series.
Womanizer is told in Olivia Roth’s point of view with a couple snippets from Callan Carmichael.
Olivia sets off from Texas to Chicago when she gets accepted for a kick ass Internship at Carma Inc. Of course, her big brother helps due to his best friend being the CEO of the company. So, with her seven-year life plan and a luggage she hops on a plane.
“I’ve planned on working for a company from twenty-two to twenty-five, then start my own business by twenty-six, and maybe at twenty-eight, I’ll meet my husband.”
Little does Olivia know, she is soon to meet the man that will make her question her seven-year plan.
“It’s a little bit like smoking, or getting high, eating too much chocolate, chasing the bad boy. Well that’s what Hot Smoker Guy is to me.”
Callan Carmichael is CEO of Carma Inc. when he agrees to accept Olivia into the internship program he has no idea that he just set himself up to fall deep. he sees Olivia on the roof and is immediately attracted but unaware of who she is. He will soon realize what it feels like to fall for his best friend’s little sister.
“I want to make it clear I have no shame when it comes to you. No rules I won’t break for you. Something about you gets to me like nothing ever has. I say the word woman, I think of you. Sexy, I think of you. Sweet, I think of you.”
I loved Callan and Olivia’s story. When I think of manwhore the first words that enter my head are Cocky, Egotistical, and Womanizer. On the outside Callan portrays these traits perfectly. But deep down inside I immediately sensed the fear that he kept hidden behind these traits. Callan is scared to open up and allow himself to fall in love. Until he meets Olivia. There was a moment where I wanted to slap Olivia, but then that moment quickly went away when she realized what keeping their relationship a secret from Tahoe was doing to Callan.
“He’s not the kind of man to be anyone’s dirty little secret. He’s the kind of man you flaunt.”
I also loved Tahoe’s part in Womanizer. I love when the lead female character in novels have an over protective big brother. That is what Tahoe is. The Grizzly Bear in him is released when he finds his little sister at his best friend’s house. Speaking from experience no one is going to be good enough for their little sister in a big brother’s eyes. Some may call it Stubbornness at the way Tahoe acted when he found out, but to me I call it protecting fiercely.
“If you touch him I’m going to hit you, Tahoe! Really hard!” “Oh, I’m gonna hit him,” he stews. “I’m going to fucking break his damn nuts!”
Towards the end of the novel, things get a little sad (or at least for me they get sad) I know this isn’t an ugly cry novel but a scene had me crying and then the way Callan was so gentle and there for Olivia, even when Tahoe was throwing dagger like looks he didn’t let that deter being there for Olivia in her time of need emotionally, yep that made me cry harder. But I recently went through the same thing that Olivia was going through so it was a punch to the gut. I loved the raw emotion. I felt all of what Olivia was feeling. You know it’s a great novel when you feel the characters emotions.
“Why is it you’re the most beautiful woman in the world, yet also the loneliest?”
I highly recommend Womanizer to those that are looking for a sexy as hell novel!
