Synopsis:

He’s won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?

I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.

He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.

Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I’m determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.

Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I’m helpless to resist.

We’re stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt’s chance at the presidency on the line.

Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

My Thoughts:

Is it odd that every time i see the cover to Mr. President, i channel my inner Marilyn Monroe and sing ‘Happy Birthday Mr. President’?

I may or may not be singing it right now as I type!

Let’s be real for a minute. I’m not a political person, in fact i can’t really stand anything that has to do with politics and presidential elections, but i knew i had to read Mr. President because let’s face it, Katy Evans is a kick ass author. With that being said, I loved Mr. President! The fact that i loved Mr. President is proof that Katy Evans can write just about anything and make it awesome.

Also just to throw it out there, Mr. President is centered more around the relationship of Matthew and Charlotte while they are campaigning than the actual presidential election.

Matthew Hamilton is the epitome of who every american dreams will run for president one day. He’s intelligent, charismatic, Drop dead Gorgeous, and most importantly he’s old school, and he stands by his beliefs. He isn’t one to throw someone under the bus unless he is forced to show his hand. Damn, Matt even gave me hope for a better tomorrow. He gets my vote!🙂

I really enjoyed Charlotte’s character also in Mr. President. I loved seeing how an eleven year old crush that never really went away can spark into something bigger many years later. I loved how independent Charlotte was, given the fact that she was raised in a political household.  I loved the background story of when Charlotte and Matthew first met, the slow buildup of their relationship. At the beginning i smiled and thought ‘AWE THESE TWO ARE ADORABLE’ that however, quickly morphed into ‘HOLY HELL, THESE TWO ARE CRAZY HOT.’

I literally had a smile on my face ‘almost’ the whole time while reading Mr. President

“Don’t give these lips to just anyone. They’re too pretty. And too rare. And they’re mine.”

I’m thrilled that this is a series. I wasn’t ready to let these two characters go. Not to mention it ends with a tiny cliffhanger. I’m dying to continue on and find out what happens next between Matthew and Charlotte.

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
