I’m so behind. I meant to do this awhile ago but i kept putting it off until i forgot. Sorry everyone! This is going to be a little different than your usual blogger award post because i have been nominated twice so that means 22 questions to answer 🙂 I’m going to do this post in the order i’ve been nominated in.

Okay so let’s get to answering this set of questions from Lara!

1) What’s your favorite childhood book?

I loved Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.

2) At what age did you start reading?

I really don’t remember but i know i was young.

3) Do you have a Goodreads account? If yes, are you participating in the Goodreads reading challenge? If yes, how’s it going for you?

I’m doing awesome on the reading challange. I set a goal of 200 books and i’ve read 154 🙂

4) Do you prefer reading in the morning or in the evening?

It doesn’t really matter to me but if i had to chose i’d say evening because that is usually my relaxing time.

5) What genre do you want to read more of?

I’m happy with the genre i’m in but i’d like to read more fairy tale retellings.

6) Heroes or anti-heroes? And Why? 

Oh no..i knew this question would come up eventually. I love anti-heroes. They are the ones that usually cause the angst and drama in the novels that i love. But what i love even more is when the Anti-Hero turns into the Hero 🙂

7) Any advice for a new blogger?

Since i’m a new to blogging blogger i have no advice as of right now i’m still winging it. But i will say just have fun with it.

8) How do you feel about over-hyped books?

I usually wait until the hype has died down some before i read the book. There are some books though that i will go out and buy right on release day because of the hype though so i guess i’m straddling the line.

9) What do you look at first: the book cover or the blurb?

The Cover!

10) Name the best opening line from any book that you have ever read?

The biggest opening line that drew me in from the first paragraph was from The Secret of Ella and Micha by Jessica Sorenson.

         “I wonder if i can fly? With the wind and rain in my hair and my arms out to the side of me, it feels like it might be possible. Perhaps if i can get enough courage to jump off the thin ledge, i’ll soar away into the night, like a bird with powerful wings.
          Maybe then i could reunite with her.”

 

11) What is your biggest pet peeve?

I hate when i lend out a book and i get it back with the pages dog eared and the spine broken…i’m having a mild panic attack just thinking about it. HeHe.

Now let’s get to answering those questions 🙂

1) What is it about writing that you like so much?

For me personally writing allows me to alleviate the stress that i constantly build up. I tend to put my own emotions into the thoughts and actions of my characters. The same goes for blogging. When i’m stressed i’ll sit at my computer and try to think of new things to post that coincides with novels.

2) Do you ever experience writer’s block? even when you write a book review?

I hardly ever get writer’s block when I’m writing portions of novels but when i’m working on a book review…It happens all the time. It’s hard to put into words what you want to say sometimes.

3) What do you like about having a blog?

i love discussing books with other and i love how my TBR is crazy long now

4) What do you dedicate most of your time on? read to review or participate more on blogging memes?

I dedicate most of my time to helping Indie Authors promote their novels. I love Indie Authors. Reading to review comes in close second and Blogging memes comes in third.

5) If you had a 5 days vacation where would you go or what would you do?

hmm…that’s a really good question. My boyfriend and i love to take random spur of the moment road trips. So i wouldn’t know where we would be going but i know i would be reading?

6) What interesting things have you done this past year?

Let’s see…I went to a bunch of concerts this past summer, also i went to Nashville, TN. Now i’m refurnishing an old rocking chair that was once my Grandpa’s. I love making old furniture look new but still used.

7) What is your favorite book at the moment?

Furious Rush by S.C. Stephens. I just finished it this morning and i can’t get the characters out of my head. I loved it!

8) Is your bookshelf in another room or your bedroom?

My bookshelves are currently in my office which is also an open area outside of the bedrooms upstairs.

9) What do you collect the most of?

Any reader will answer this question the same, i collect books. I love reading physical books and i love looking at them on my bookshelves.

10) How often do you get a haircut?

i get my ends trimmed every 3ish weeks. I love my hair long.

11) What is one positive thing you hope your blog accomplishes?

I hope to expand other’s TBR lists 🙂
