Synopsis from goodreads
Meredith definitely drank too much last night. Why on earth else would she have woken up without her purse, and the distinct memory of giving her number to a stripper? So gross.
The good news is, she never has to see him again. Except to get her purse. And to discover she did another terrible, horrible, very bad thing while drunk- she accidentally became a professional penis photographer.
Rob wishes more people would believe him when he says he truly is stripping his way through journalism school. It’s the only way Millennials can afford school with no student loans. When Meredith quite literally stumbles across his path, he’s super smitten. Sadly, she is less so once she sobers up.
Can he trick her into dating him?
Can she trick her mother into thinking she has a respectable job?
And can anyone recover once the internet picks up their story? It’s a long shot for both of them.
My Review!
Long Shot was one of the most hilarious novels i have read. The characters were quirky and the story line was insanely random and out of this world crazy. I couldn’t stop laughing throughout this novel but that is to be expected especially when you throw in Pen*s Sweaters and c*ck costumes.
On a side note i will never…ever…walk into a build a bear workshop or any stuffed animal type store again without thinking and/or picturing penises. I seriously thought i had read everything before i started this novel…LMAO i was so wrong on that assumption.
Rob is a part time stripper full time college student working on a journalism degree. Rob is a very quirky character. He is off the wall random with his actions and the things he says. He is also a tad bit clueless at times. You literally never know what’s going to come out of his mouth which only adds to the hilarity.
Meredith comes across as a bitch in the novel. But for whatever reason i enjoyed that. I loved her feisty i don’t give a crap about anything attitude. I especially enjoyed Meredith and Jane’s back and forth sisterly banter.
Rob has his sights set on making Meredith, his. Even though she turns her nose down at his current occupation. But with a system full of booze and endless banter Meredith and Rob find common ground and start to form a relationship.
It seems like the only way to get on Meredith’s good side is through alcohol. I loved their drunken moments.
I rated this novel 4 instead of 5 stars because i felt at times Rob was a little to immature and a little to clueless. It annoyed during a scene. But as you can tell i quickly got over it.
Long Shot was insanely hilarious …..i would recommend it to everyone that is in search of a Romantic Comedy (ROMCOM) or just a good laugh.
Thanks for reading my review
Peace, Love, and Happy Reading!
