Synopsis
My love life? It’s complicated.
I walked away from my stepbrothers again,
this time to make my mother happy.
To make my best friend Caroline happy.
And what did those bad boys do?
They put Caroline in the car and came after me.
When you can’t please everyone
One more race, one more adrenaline-soaked night
was all they asked, because even Colt and Caine had realized
that one more was all we could risk before someone got hurt.
One more night together, then we’d do the right thing—or at least stop doing the wrong thing.
But fate had other ideas.
You got to please yourself.
When life shoved me into the wall, I realized everything I believed in, I’d learned from a racin’ man. If he could talk, I knew he’d say it was time
to put the pedal to the metal, so I went hammer down
and hell bent, for love.
If what I did bothers anyone, they can kiss my red-headed,
NASCAR-man lovin’, college-educated, country girl ass.
My Review!
Wow. This series is seriously blowing me away. Usually by the third book in a series i’m bored! i want the series to be done and over with.
That’s not the case with The ‘Cuda Confessions series!
Pedal to the Metal blew me away. Literally!
This book starts off as the last book Turn and Burn ended with Shelby running from Colt and Caine again.
But this time Caine doesn’t let her stay gone for long.
I LOVED THIS BOOK.
Out of all The ‘Cuda Confessions novels Pedal to the Metal is by far my favorite!
I loved the emotion from the first page all the way through to the end.
Watching Shelby grow into herself was my favorite part. She went from a shy timid girl to an independent woman that takes no crap from anyone.
Colt grew up also through the series. My hate for him ever since the ending of the first book changed drastically. Well sort of….He did make a snap decision and Deal without asking Shelby her opinion first.
Caine…OH how i love Caine…I’ve been team Caine from the beginning! Love him and Shelby together.
I know you’re gonna run again. I ain’t never gonna chase you, because foxes were born to run, but I’m gonna be right here, waitin’. I’ll take however much time together you give us. Or however little.”
We are introduced to a new character this novel. She was mentioned in the last novel but we didn’t really get to meet her. That would be Marley…Yeah not gonna lie…I don’t really care for Marley.
I was so happy to see more scenes with Dale and Shelby!!! and less with Macy.
“Them ain’t boots. Them’s no different than little minnows in a bucket.” Dale snorted. “I can see all the boys snappin’ up that bait now. And, after they shoot off their mouths, she’ll leave their egos spread in pieces over every drag strip from here to California.” He winked
I love the advice Dale gives!
Don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it. I figured I could substitute ‘lawyer’ for ‘pig’, so….” He lifted his palms and grinned.
There was some heartbreak in Pedal to the Metal.
I’m not going to lie. I did cry during one scene…
It was the surprise that caught me off guard.
I can’t wait to read Jill, Dale, and Robyn’s story!
Seriously if you have not read The ‘Cuda Confessions yet. Get on it. This series is amazing.
Peace Love and Happy Reading,
