Synopsis:

She’s the city girl looking for a story. He’s the grumpy mountain man hurting from his past…

Only bad things happen on Valentine’s Day, and this year looks to be no exception.
I’ve been sent to the middle of nowhere mountain to write a story on a reclusive ex-military artist who doesn’t want to talk.
My job’s on the line, I’ve got a pile of debt, and Mom needs me back in the city. But if I don’t get Marcus to talk, I’m fired.
I’ve seen the way he looks at me, and I’m not above using my feminine curves to lure the mountain recluse out of his lair.
But once he’s out, I might not want to put him back in.
As long as he doesn’t find out what I’m really up to…

Wild Valentine is the seventh book in the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider’s MC series by Sadie King. This book can be read as a standalone. Also, if you’re looking for a quick read with all the emotion and sexy time that a full length read has to offer pick up this series! If you’re in the mood for a grumpy/sunshine romance get your hands on Hazel and Marcus’ story today!

Hazel has the world on her shoulders not only is her job on the line, she’s also caring for her sick mother. With hospital bills piling up Hazel has no job but to accept an out of town job. She’s to cover a story on a man who remains a mystery.

Marcus lives his life in the mountains. He keeps to his small circle of friends whilst creating beautifully tragic art. Every now and then he’ll have a journalist come knocking, but he lets them know very quickly he’s not interested in a story. That is until Hazel shows up at his door.

I loved witnessing Hazel and Marcus develop a friendship that morphed into something more. I also enjoyed the grumpy vibes that came from Marcus! I completely understand why this man had a grump personality. I would too if I went through what he had gone through. I actually loved Marcus’ story which is the reason why I sort of dropped a star on my rating. A short novel wasn’t enough for this man! I would have loved to see his past through his eyes which would have brought even more emotion and understanding to this novel.

And then we have Hazel. Hazel’s story hit my heartstrings with her and her mom. I may have even shed a tear or two for her and all of the strength and emotion she brought to this novel. I loved witnessing Hazel bring happiness into her life, even if that happiness came in the form of Mr. Grumpy. I loved it all the same.

One thing I love about Sadie King is the fact this author brings short reads full of heart and heat. One thing I dislike is I’m always left wanting more! It’s a win/lose scenario but in the end I wouldn’t have it any other way! I can’t wait to read more from Sadie King’s Wild Rider’s MC Series! I love seeing an MC full of good guys that do good things for their community. It’s a rare sighting in the romance book world to see these sort of bikers and I’m here for it!
