You’ll Most Likely Love Stealing Hearts!!
Synopsis:
A marriage of convenience might save his ranch, but will it break her heart?
I donโt remember a time when I didnโt love Rhett Walker, which is complicated since heโs ten years older and my brotherโs best friend. After a falling out, we didnโt speak for yearsโuntil today, when he found me sleeping in my car, threw me over his shoulder, and dragged me โto safety.โ
Heโs grumpy and overprotective and even more handsome than I remembered. Iโm shocked to learn heโs in trouble. Someone is sabotaging his ranch, which is thirty days from foreclosure. He needs a loan from a friend who wonโt extend the funds unless heโs married. Only Rhettโs now a single dad with no plans to fall in love again.
When his brother suggests I marry Rhett for health insurance so I can rehab an injury, my first reaction is hell no. I canโt afford to catch feelings for someone who wonโt see me that way.
But spending time at the ranch reminds me how much is at stakeโthe family business, the welfare of Rhettโs children, and the happiness of a man Iโve always longed for.
Rhett says weโll keep things platonic in private, even though Iโll be sleeping in his bed. He refuses to mix business with pleasure.
Except when the lights go out in his bedroom, our chemistry is too explosive to contain.
Would it be so bad to fall for Rhett? Or will he steal my heart all over again?
One thingโs for sureโthe clock is ticking on our divorce.
About The Author:
Lex Martin is the USA Today bestselling author of Varsity Dads, Texas Nights, and the Dearest series. She writes contemporary romance novels, the steamy kind she hopes readers love but her parents avoid.โ
Sheโs always been obsessed with writing, starting in elementary school when she would pen short stories and make her father read them. (Afterward, heโd have to take her tests, but he was a good sport and did them without complaint.)ย โ
In high school, when she wasnโt playing basketball, she wrote emo poetry (that won awards, go figure) and worked on the school newspaper.โ
She later became a nationally-certified high school English teacher and freelance journalist but decided sheโd rather write romance novels than tests or city hall articles.โ
Lex loves coffee, rom coms, pen hoarding, planners, and college football. She married her almost college sweetheart (they met right after graduation), and sheโs still obsessed with him, especially when he writes her songs.โ
She currently resides in her hometown of San Antonio with her husband, twin daughters, a bunny, and their new puppy. Drop her a line at lex (at) lexmartinwrites.com. She loves hearing from readers.ย
Lex is represented by Kimberly Brower of Brower Literary & Management.
