Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted byย That Artsy Reader Girl.
Todayโs category: Bookish Goals for 2025 (How many books do you want to read this year? Are you hoping to read outside your comfort zone? Are there books you meant to read last year but never got to? Are there new-to-you authors youโre hoping to read?)
Check out my Goals And Challenges of 2025 post here ->ย https://wp.me/p7rFfT-i3Y
I shared my goals and challenges for 2025 a few days ago and one of my challenges is a clearing the shelves challenge. Today I decided to share ten romance novels I’m planning To read In 2025! These books will not be new releases. In fact, some of these books are ten years old and the majority of them are paperbacks, with the exception of the Mariana Zapata book.. So without further wait, let’s get started with the ten books I plan to read
1. Lingus by: Mariana Zapata
I recently found there is another romance reader in my family! She was shocked that I haven’t read a single thing written by Mariana Zapata. So I Made a promise that I would check this author out this year. I plan to read Lingus and then I’ll work my way through this author’s reading order if my assumptions that I’ll like this author wring true. Fingers crossed I enjoy her writing style because her books sound so freaking good!!

Synopsis:
Most people would describe Katherine Berger as a responsible girl with a big heart, a loyal friend who takes care of those close to her, and the possessor of a wicked sense of humor. There was something about her that most people didn’t know. “My name is Kat Berger, and I love porn.”
When twenty-five-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she’s both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expected was to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship, and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.
2. Manwhore by: Katy Evans
The Manwhore series by Katy Evans has been on my bookshelf for far longer than I’m okay with. I’m going to make it my goal of 2025 to move this series from my tbr shelf to my read shelf. It’s been too long! A park of me is scared because I have such high expectations built from the Real series. I worry those high expectations aren’t going to hit their mark within this series. But I will never know unless I give it a read. I can’t wait to start it!

3. Boomerang by: Noelle August
Here is another series that has been sitting on my shelf for an extremely long time. I planned to read the Boomerang Series by August Noelle last year, but time got away from me and it never worked out. I’m hoping to read this series this year and finally move it from my tbr pile to my read shelf.

Welcome to Boomerang.com, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up.
Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. Theyโre sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret.
Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well . . . one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morningโtogether. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post hookup taxi . . . to the same place: Boomerang headquarters.
What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, theyโre now competitors for only one job at the end of summer.
As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other, or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?
4. Verity by: Colleen Hoover
I’m not a fan of reading over hyped books. I don’t know what compelled me to pick Verity up off the shelf, put it in my shopping cart, and take it to the check out. I want to see if my intuition was telling me something so I plan to give this book a read this year. I’m hoping the hype isn’t a complete let down.

5. Saddled And Spurred by: Lorelei James
I started the Blacktop Cowboys series a year or so ago, and stopped with Corralled. I love spicy novels, and Lorelei James doesn’t skimp on the spice. So if Sexy Cowboys is your thing, definitely pick up a book written by this author. I will be continuing this series sometime in 2025.

6. 738 Days by: Stacey Kade
I remember picking this one up at my ‘old’ local used book store due to the synopsis. I just re-read the synopsis and HOLY WOW! My attention is grasped once again. I really need to read this book as soon as possible! Maybe I’ll add it to my February Reading List.

Synopsis:
At fifteen, Amanda Grace was abducted on her way home from school. 738 days later, she escaped. Her 20/20 interview is what everyone remembersโAmanda describing the room where she was kept, the torn poster of TV heartthrob Chase Henry on the wall. It reminded her of home and gave her the strength to keep fighting.
Now, years later, Amanda is struggling to live normally. Her friends have gone on to college, while she battles PTSD. Sheโs not getting any better, and she fears that if something doesnโt change soon she never will.
Six years ago, Chase Henry defied astronomical odds, won a coveted role on a new TV show, and was elevated to super-stardom. With it, came drugs, alcohol, arrests, and crazy spending sprees. Now he’s sober and a Hollywood pariah, washed up at twenty-four.
To revamp his image, Chaseโs publicist comes up with a plan: surprise Amanda Grace with the chance to meet her hero, followed by a visit to the set of Chaseโs new movie. The meeting is a disaster, but out of mutual desperation, Amanda and Chase strike a deal. What starts as a simple arrangement, though, rapidly becomes more complicated when they realize they need each other in more ways than one. But when the past resurfaces in a new threat, will they stand together or fall apart?
With charm and heart, Stacey Kade takes readers on a journey of redemption and love.
7. This Man by: Jodi Ellen Malpas
I added the This Man Series by Jodi Ellen Malpas to my bookshelf a few years ago and intended to read the books right away. However, the hype scared me away. I tend to feel a bit anxious when it comes to reading extremely popular and hyped up books. Now, the hype has died down and I feel I can give this series a fair fighting chance. Hopefully I’ll enjoy it as many readers have. We shall see.

She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.
8. The Wedding Game by: Meghan Quinn
I made the mistake and read a few chapters of The Wedding Game during a time when I had a ton of ARC reviews that were due. I set this one off to the side and forgot about it. Glancing at my shelf today, I came to the realization that I never finished this book! I will definitely be reading this one this year! I think I may be most excited to read this one!

9. The Bronze Horseman by: Paullina Simons
I can honestly say, I knew nothing about this book on the day I bought it. I happened to walk by a table at my ‘old’ local used book store and saw this book sitting there. It was a dollar! I picked it up and placed it in my basket and kept walking on through. After reading the synopsis I’m even more intrigued! I can’t wait to start this one sometime this year!

I also have several Mariana Zapata books waiting for me. I’ve read From Lukov, With Love years ago and really enjoyed it.
Verity is more of a thriller than a romance though.
My TTT: https://laurieisreading.com/2025/01/14/top-ten-tuesday-bookish-goals-for-2025/
I’ve heard wonderful things about Mariana Zapata. I’m excited to see what all the hype is about.
Yes, i had heard Verity was a thriller. I’ve been trying to add different genres to my reading lists. I have it on my shelf, so i thought, why not.
Lingus and The Wedding People look fun! I will add both to my TBR as well ๐ And I hope you like Verity – definitely a change from a typical CoHo book. I really enjoyed it!
That’s what I heard about Verity. I heard it’s a thriller, and I’ve been wanting to branch out when it comes to genres! I’m excited to start it, along with all the other books on this list!
May you enjoy all of them!
Thank you โค๏ธ
I hope you enjoy all of these when you read them.

Thank you!
I need to clear my shelves too! They’re getting very crowded. Hopefully, I can continue making headway on this goal in 2025. I hope you enjoy all these books.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan

Clearing the shelves is a never ending battle! It seems like everytime I remove a book, I add fifteen more. The plus side to this is I’ll never run out of reading content. (lol)
I hope you have a great Wednesday!
With the exception of the CoHo book, these are all new to me! I hope you’re able to get to them so I can read your reviews and see if they’re ones I’ll like. ๐
Thank You! I feel like I’m the only one in the book world who has not read Verity…
I haven’t read it either! The only CoHo book I’ve read is Without Merit and I DNFd it…
She tends to be a hit or miss author for me. I think that is why I’m so nervous to read her super hyped books… I’m scared of the let down moment.
Ugh, that’s the worst feeling.
I know ๐
