It’s hard to believe, there are only a few days left in the year of 2024.
Time sure flew by these past couple months. With that being said, Mr. Man, my sister, and I went on a day after Christmas adventure to my favorite used book store! This store has been a miss the last couple times I went to browse, so I wasn’t expecting a big haul. Oh boy, was I wrong! I somehow walked out of that store with 20…ish books in my arms. I hit the motherload of all books, and Mr. Man, being the enabler that he is found a series on the shelf that I have been dying to read! So let’s get started with my December Book Haul.
A Day After Christmas Visit To My Favorite Used Book Store!
This is all Mr. Man’s fault! I was looking through the books on one shelf while he was browsing the shelf behind me. He saw a stack of J.R. Ward books and said ‘haven’t you been trying to collect this series before reading it’. I turned around and to my amazement there was two shelves jam packed with books by this author. In the past years, everytime I go to a used book store, I buy a black dagger brotherhood series book. And now, thanks to this used book store, I can officially start this series! It helped that each book was in the price range from $1 – $4.

The next group of books I picked up are from Rebecca Yarros. I read Full Measures earlier this year and freaking loved every moment of this story. I still need one more book to complete this series on my shelf, but that is not going to stop me from reading these books. I’m excited to continue on with the Flight and Glory Series!!

I saw a series from Lauren Asher that I’ve had my eye on for some time now in the used book area. My store had the first and the third book, so I’ll have to do some hunting to find the second book. This series is the Dreamland Billionaires Series.

I also picked up No Limits by Lori Foster. I needed this book to finish up the Ultimate Series. Now, I officially own all of the books and I can’t wait to read them! I also picked up Monica Murphy’s All My Kisses For You. I can’t wait to dive into these two books! I can already predict 2025 is going to be a great reading year!

A Romance Mystery Box Surprise From My Favorite Used Book Store!
Earlier this month, Mr. Man came home from work and surprised me with a romance mystery box! It’s something new my favorite used book store is doing. What’s not to love about Mystery boxes. The box contained six books. Two I already own and will be passing on to my mom, and three I will be sharing with my mom. (See where I get my reading habits from.) Here are the six books in my mystery box.
