Synopsis:
From Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Amazon Bestselling Author Natasha Madison comes new enemies to lovers, forbidden, single mom, hockey romance.
Christopher
I came from the biggest hockey family in the NHL.
Records were set by my grandfather, my father, and now my brother.
I was taught to love the game, but more than that, I learned early the men you play with are your family.
You get on the ice every night and protect them, celebrate the wins, and pick each other up when you fall.
So when we lost Benji, I stepped in to help his wife and kids, but this pull I feel when it comes to them is something more than I can even understand.
Dakota
My life was perfect, until it wasn’t.
Gone was the husband I thought I knew and in his place was a stranger.
I saw him change before my eyes.
Then he was gone, leaving me and our girls alone.
I wanted nothing to do with anyone or anything that took him away from me.
But no matter how many times I’ve told his best friend I don’t need help.
He’s here doing things for us, and the worst part is, I want him to

Meant For Her is the second book in Natasha Madison’s Meant For series. This series is a generational spinoff from her Something So series. But have no fear, Christopher and Dakota’s story can be read as a standalone. I’ve decided to skip the ‘in my own words’ portion of this review in order to avoid spoilers. So let’s dive into my thoughts.
I’m not crying.. You’re crying! Was my whole vibe throughout the first half of this novel. Natasha Madison brought me to tears… SO MANY TEARS! My heart broke for Dakota ‘Koda’ and her two little girls. It’s been a long time since this author has brought me to tears, and I’m here for it! If you’re looking for a ‘love after loss’ romance that’s high on emotions, this may be the one for you! But let it be known, Meant For Her comes with some brutal trigger warnings.
CONTENT WARNING SPOILER: If you find drug abuse, death by overdose, and death of a spouse to be triggering. I warn you to go into this one with your mind prepared for all three triggers. CONTENT WARNING SPOILER END.
Dakota’s strength throughout this novel was inspiring. My heart felt her fear of the unknown, I felt her anger, her sadness, her guilt, her joy, and her forgiveness. I hoped beyond hope that this woman would finally get her true happily ever after, and Natasha Madison did not disappoint.
And then we have Christopher. I’m going to be honest, I think I cried more during his breakdown moments, especially the moment when he realized he didn’t really know his best friend at all…. And if he had known the man the way Dakota knew him, they wouldn’t have been best friends… if that makes sense. It had a monumental impact on my heart.
One thing I loved most about this novel was the support systems that stood behind both Christopher and Dakota. I loved the strong family dynamic, and I think that’s the main reason that keeps me coming back to this series and generational spinoffs. This family is epic! But most of all, I loved watching Dakota and Christopher fall in love with each other. I loved experiencing every emotion under the sun.
Now for the reason why I dropped a star on my rating… I gave Meant For Her a four star rating for the simple fact of, I wanted more from the ending and a few other moments.
Overall, I loved Christopher and Dakota’s story. The emotion was on point, the heat was spicy, and the love shown in this novel was on another level! I can’t wait to see what Natasha Madison brings next with this series.
