It’s the 8th of April and I just now realized I forgot to post my 1st quarter challenge update…. January 1st through March 31st were great reading months! Now it’s time to see how I’m doing with each individual category for my challenges. So let’s get this show on the road!!
2024 Reading Challenges
Goodreads Reading Challenge:
My Reading Goal Challenge for 2024 is to read 100 books. In the past my goal was always set to 200, but with everything I have planned this year, I decided to lower it a bit. I can always raise it if I read 100 before the end of 2024.
Goodreads READING CHALLENGE UPDATE:
My total so far is 34/100 books!
Here are the books I read in the months of January, February, and March of 2024!
Serious About Series Challenge
SERIES I’LL BE READING IN THIS CHALLENGE:
I finished/caught up on the 3 out of the 5 series I had set for myself! I will definitely be reading/reviewing the Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens and The Knights & Dragons MC Series by Chantal Fernando this Spring/Summer! My porch swing is calling me!
1. Raleigh Rebels Series by Callie Hart
2. Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens
3. Knights & Dragons MC Series by Chantal Fernando
4. Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Rider’s MC Series by Sadie King
5. Varsity Dads Series by Lex Martin
Serious About Series CHALLENGE UPDATE:
The first challenge on my list was the Serious About Series Challenge! I picked five different book series to read/catch up on this year. The first series I picked to complete this year was the Raleigh Rebels Series by Callie Hart. I have to say, I was a bit disappointed by this series. I thought it was going to be more than what was initially given. Not to mention, my views on certain content have changed in the few years between the first time I read the first book in the series, and this time when I read the first book in the series.
The second series I caught up on was the Wild Heart Mountain: Wild Riders MC Series by Sadie King. I am loving this series. Sure, there were a few books that were only likes and not loves for me, but as a reader, I learned I’m not going to love every single book in a series. I’m loving the swoon-worthy vibes these heroes throw off in this series. I need more and more and more!! So if you’re looking for a quick read, with swoony heroes definitely reacho for this series by Sadie King!
And the third series I finally caught up on is the Varsity Dads Series by Lex Martin! I fell hard for each and every characters! This is definitely a series ever romance reader/lover should read!!
My Bookshelf Challenge:
My overall goal is to clear as many books from my unread shelf as I possibly can. But to keep this challenge goal oriented, I’ve decided to read 20 physical books this year. If I read more than that, it will be the biggest shock of my life….
My Bookshelf CHALLENGE UPDATE:
Sadly, so far I haven’t had the chance to clear any books from my physical bookshelf…. April, May and June I’ll be making it my mission to read physical books.
New To Me Author Challenge:
Another challenge I feel like I’m dominating in! My goal for this challenge is to read at least 15 new-to-me authors in 2024.
New To Me Author CHALLENGE UPDATE:
So far, I’ve found the time to experience 5 new-to-me authors!
SADIE KING, BRIGHTON WALSH, MAGGIE COLE, HAYLEY FAIMAN, and NACOLE STAYTON
Beat The Backlist Challenge:
My goal for the Beat The Backlist Challenge is to read books that are at least a year old *from my read date*
