Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week is a new bookish category in which we get to brag about our favorite books that fit with the week’s category. You can pick your top 5, 10, 15…or so on. I tend to keep my list to ten!
Today’s category: Books I’m Worried I Might Not Love as Much the Second Time Around
I went all the way back to my goodreads shelf when I first started keeping track of what I read. These 10 books and series are ones that I physically own, but I’m scared to reread them again. I loved every second of these books. I know one day I’m going to dive into a reread and the fear of not feeling the same vibe I felt all those years ago lingers… UGH! Maybe one day I’ll take the chance on these series and give them a reread. But right now, I’m happy with them living as memories and benchmarks in my mind.

Peace Love and Happy Reading,

Some books work best at certain times of life! But I hope you love all of these just as much the second time around.

Exactly! I agree with you wholeheartedly especially when it comes to romance novels and tropes/themes.
I hope you have a great day!!
I hardly ever re-read books. There are so many books on my TBR list that I hate to “waste” time reading ones I’ve already read. I hope that if you do decide to re-read these, they will still be winners for you 🙂
Happy TTT!

I can relate to that. I save all of my rereads for when I’m in a serious book funk and nothing is catching my attention. But as of recently, I haven’t had the time to reread books with all the new releases hitting the shelves.
I don’t know that I would like King if I re-read it either. I would say Stage Dive stands the test of time because I only read it like last year or the year before. I hated Taking Chances the first time around, so that one would be a no for me. Believe it or not, I haven’t read One True Loves yet. I’m scared of that book for some reason!
You have every reason to be scared of One True Loves (LOL) this book shattered my heart!! I think that is the reason why I’m so scared to reread it. I fear it won’t be that impactful on my heart the second time around. As for Taking Chances, I read this book almost ten years ago. I was all about love triangles and angst. Now that I’m older, I have a feeling this book won’t be as great a read the second time around as it was the first. I plan to reread the Stage Dive Series soon! It’s been too long and I’ve been craving a good rockstar romance.
