Synopsis:
From Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY bestselling author Natasha Madison comes a brand new sports romance. A spin-off from the Hollywood Playboy & This Is Crazy.
Ryleigh
Growing up in Hollywood, I was surrounded by liars and phonies.
So when I got my law degree, I knew I wanted to work as a district attorney.
Busy days turned to long nights—I was on my way up the ladder.
Then he happened.
Bullied his way into my life as if there was no choice.
Suddenly everything I thought I wanted wasn’t as important.
Stone
I had one thing on my mind and that was never going to change: The game.
The only goal I had was beating the records set by my family.
I didn’t have time for anything else.
Until she walked in the room.
The earth shifted, just like the stories said it would.
I said it wouldn’t happen—not to me.
I didn’t have the time, but now she was the only thing on my mind.
I knew it was her.
Now I had to convince her.

Meant For Stone is the first book in Natasha Madison’s brand new Meant For Series. If you’re a fan of series with generational spinoff series’, don’t hesitate to jump into Natasha Madison’s wonderful world of hockey hunks! I’d start with the Something So series and work your way through if I were you! This novel also happens to be a crossover novel. Ryleigh Becket is the daughter of Tyler and Jessica (HOLLYWOOD PLAYBOY) and Stone Richards is the son of Zara Stone and Evan Richards (THIS IS CRAZY). So if you end up loving this novel, go back and read those books! I’m a sucker for these novels and the characters!
Now let’s get to what Stone and Ryleigh’s wonderful whirlwind romance, Meant For Stone, is all about.
Stone fell head over boots in lust with a woman he had no business entertaining. The only issue, she doesn’t know the impact she has over his heart and soul. So he lives his life playing hockey and hoping for those chance encounters with the one he can’t stop thinking about.
All it took to hook Ryleigh in was one kiss and now she’s hooked on a man she shouldn’t even be thinking about. She has career goals to obtain and no time for distractions if she wants to make it to a district attorney position. But the more Stone pushes, the more her heart begins to surrender. So with her heart in her hand, she agrees to try a long distance relationship with a man she has no business being with.
My thoughts:
Natasha Madison, once again, swept me away with a tale of romance, sass, angst, and beauty. My heart was invested from the very start! I adored seeing characters I loved from previous novels in this novel. I loved the dynamic of the relationship between Stone and Ryleigh, and I loved the strong sense of family that Natasha Madison captured and continues to capture flawlessly throughout these spinoff novels. I can’t get enough!
Let’s start with Stone. I loved this man’s determination and dedication when it came to showing Ryleigh his heart is all in. I loved the gifts, the notes, the texts, the stress, the angst, and all of the emotions that flowed through this man throughout the whole long distance relationship. I also loved his swoon and his smooth vibes. My heart wept for this man, I felt his feelings of happiness for the love that he craved for so long now finally being within reach, the frustration that comes with two careers and almost five-hundred miles between him and the love of his life, and then the realization that a long distance relationship won’t work when one person isn’t as invested as the other…. When I say my heart broke for Ryleigh and Stone, I mean it tore to shreds.
And then we have Ryleigh. Herein lies where my five star rating dropped to a four star rating. I loved Ryleigh’s ambition, her sass, and her determination to move up in her career. I loved the spice she added to the relationship and the fact that she was constantly keeping Stone on his toes literally had me laughing so many times. I loved the dynamic between these two, but somewhere after the fifty-percent point of this novel, I needed a little bit more from Ryleigh’s character in regards to the relationship. I needed more from her character where feelings were involved. I felt Stone’s feelings so effortlessly, but when it came to Ryleigh, I wanted more from her character in regards to Stone. I wanted to feel her love for this man, and the fact that she would do anything for him and their relationship. I think if there was another chapter depicting the moment before all hell broke loose, instead of it being aired in the open after all hell broke loose, I would have probably given this one a five star rating
IT HAS TO BE MENTIONED! The spice in this novel is EXTRA SPICY! Mr. Richards and Ms. Beckett damn near lit my kindle on fire with that truck scene! Definitely was not expecting that, but I’m so glad it happened! (LOL)
Overall, I really enjoyed Meant For Stone by Natasha Madison! I loved the secret relationship vibes, the long distance vibes, the angst, and the he falls first vibe. I can’t wait to see what she brings to this series next!
