Autumn Book Tag

Good morning, everyone!

I saw Misty’s Book Space participate in this tag. I immediately loved the questions so, why not, I’ll give it a try.

What is your comfort book?

In the season of Autumn, I tend to lean more towards small town romances with all the feels. I’d say those are my comfort books. If I had to pick a specific book and/or series, I’d have to pick the Until Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I’m currently reading Until November for the fifth time. Each time I read this book, I fall more and more in love with this series!

What is your favorite creative outlet?

The hardest Creative Outlet I have has to be gardening, both vegetables and flowers. With flowers, I love planning patterns and strategizing where my seeds will go during the planting stage. And then I love creating bouquets. I am not a florist by any means, I just love the creativity that comes with this. With vegetables, it’s almost the same process. Mr. Man and I made an archway for our pole beans to climb up one side and our cucumbers to climb up the other side. It was a success! We also decided to rope in our tomatoes instead of cage them in! So much went into this. Aside from the outside activities, I also enjoy writing short stories and lyrics, which will never see the light of day (HAHA).

What is a change that appears bad but you secretly love?

Here, In Michigan, one of those changes is when the colors on the trees start to change. It’s so beautiful, but many people who live here knows what the color change leads to, cold winters with a lot of snow. In books, I guess that would be when a secondary character comes out of the blue and causes drama with the new couple. Did I mention I love angst in my novels. A moment like this always causes drama and angst!

What is something you love that others tend to judge?

In the wonderful world of romance, I absolutely love two tropes that are either a love or hate with readers. Those tropes being, Secret Pregnancy/Surprise! You’re a Daddy romances and Love Triangles! I’m a lover of angst in novels, and these tropes definitely don’t spare on said angst.

What makes you explode with joy?

I’m getting to that stage in my life when I’m finding joy out of the smallest things. Such as hearing my nieces and nephews laugh brings me so much joy. Foraging brings me joy. Making brand new memories with Mr. Man brings me joy. Spending time with my mom, brings me joy. Watching my puppy learn a new trick, brings me joy. It’s the little things that matter most, to me. As for books, seeing an epic happily ever play out when all hope of finding one was lost, brings me the utmost joy!

What is your favorite scary book or film?

I don’t read scary books. But I do love Scary Movies! My favorite scary movie franchise would have to be The Conjuring Franchise. Any thing to do with Ed and Lorraine Warren, I love! These two are my couple goals (HAHA)

What is your autumn ‘must-have’ accessory?

I’m finding myself stealing Mr. Man’s black buffalo plaid flannel shirt lately! What can I say, it’s comfy and warm on those cold evenings when I’m outside on my front porch swing. Hmmm, let’s see, I haven’t had to break out my heavy carhartt socks yet, or my fuzzy throw blanket. So, as of right now, I’d go with Mr. Man’s flannel shirt.
