Synopsis:

ROYAL SAVAGE
I can’t close my eyes… I refuse to. Every time I do, all I see is blood, death, and pain. I can feel it – almost taste it, bringing me back to that night.

It doesn’t matter that I’m still breathing; I no longer need it, I no longer want it. I despise it along with everything else around me.

The only thing I long for is to fade away. I’ve given up. Until her at least… Avalon

She comes into my world, knocking me on my ass.

It turns me on to have her around me. Makes me want to wrap my hand around her tight little throat and fu@k her until she feels my pain, feels the monster in me, but also makes me want to protect her from the very thing that she should be afraid of… me.

Once she sees the damage that I’m capable of; she’ll look at me like everyone else around me does: with fear.

AVALON KNIGHT

HIS EYES… THE DARKNESS IN them draws me to him, making me want to taste him, feel him… and save him. I shouldn’t have gotten on the back of his motorcycle that day. I know that now. Colton warned me. I was told it was dangerous. I was told that nothing would be the same. He was right.

ROYAL is dangerous, dark, and seductive; the very thing that keeps me hanging on, willing to give my last breath just to touch him… breathe him in.

He’s savage, inked, and highly captivating. So different from his brother…

He’s hazardous to my health, mind, and body, yet the only thing that I crave. I want to free him. I want to change his mind, but I’m afraid that he’s already too faded…

I picked up this book from my shelf last night, and I spent all day devouring the wonderful and highly sexy world that is Royal Savage and Avalon Knight’s romance! Holy hell, I wasn’t expecting this book to be as tragic as it was sexy. I wasn’t expecting this romance to be grief stricken and brutal. And I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with Royal Savage… BUT I DID!

Royal Savage is on a mission to destroy those who took the the most important person from him, his pregnant fiancee. Three down, all he needs to do is find the fourth and once that fourth man is found, he’ll be able to breath once again… But what Royal doesn’t encounter is the woman with the doe eyes, who accidentally walks into his room during one of his roommates parties. His rules were simple, don’t let anybody downstairs.

Avalon is at the point of her relationship where she knows it has reached it’s unfortunate end. So what does any girl do in this kind of situation, she lets’ her friend talk her into going to a dive bar/tattoo parlor to meet up with a ridiculously handsome man. What Avalon doesn’t anticipate is her trouble finding a bathroom would lead her to the man she knows she should stay away from, but simply can’t resist.

Royal has an urge to ink her virgin skin…
And Avalon has an urge to let him…

My Thoughts:

What can I say about Royal Savage by Victoria Ashley, that hasn’t already been said before. For starters, I adore everything about Victoria Ashley’s writing style. This isn’t the first novel I have devoured from her and I can say with an honest heart, this won’t be the last. Victoria Ashley has a way of developing characters. You like them in the beginning and that like slowly starts to morph into love with each word they speak and each action they make. I especially love when she brings an alphamale role/Anti-Hero to the table.

Royal Savage is a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s seen tragedy, and he’s lived through death. His life isn’t the way he swore it would turn out, and at the beginning of this novel, and throughout the entirety of this novel his one mission is to seek vengeance on those he loved that were taken from him to soon. I loved how brutal this man was. I also loved the fact that Royal was created to be a protector. Everything from his personality and down to his body build screamed protector.

When Avalon entered Royal’s life, his life turned into one big bubble of chaos and my heart broke for him. The guilt he felt for moving on hit me in the heart. I was hoping he would see what was standing in front of him. But that vision wasn’t so clear to him. I loved the fact that Avalon knew there was something troubling him, but she never pushed him to tell her. She was there for him through all the bad and stood up for him when pompous assholes would put him down. I loved the fact that she defended him, even though his build and attitude had him able to stand on his own. I loved the security she gave him.

And then the twist happens, and to tell you the truth, I didn’t see that coming what so ever! That is another reason why I adore this author and her novels, she always leaves her readers second guessing and then pulls out a twist from nowhere! I loved this twist, and I loved the way Royal Savage ended… and that is all I’m going to say about that!

Now on to why I gave this book a 4 star rating instead of a full five. You see, I loved Avalon and Royal’s romance as a whole, that wasn’t my issue. My issue was the fact that we were given so much of Royal’s backstory when in the process of reading, I also wanted more of Avalon’s backstory. I guess what I’m saying is I wanted to know more about Avalon on a deeper level. I wanted to get to know her just a tad bit more.

Overall, I loved the relationship and romance between Royal and Avalon! I loved the twists and I loved the turns. I loved the hope this book showed, and I loved the devastation. There were so many loves when talking about this book, I just needed a little bit more. However, I can’t wait to continue on with the Savage & Ink series! I’ll be reading Beautiful Savage soon!!

    1. I’m a huge fan of Victoria Ashley! I’ve been reading her for years, even before I started my blog. Her novels tend to lean more towards the extremely spicy side of romance. So that’s always a treat. Never know what she’ll put in her novels!

If you read Royal Savage, I hope you love it!
