I’m going to be honest, Kissing The Rival isn’t my favorite book by Kaylee Ryan. I think the fact that this is an office Future Boss/Employee type romance is really getting to me. I’m not a huge fan of this trope, unless it’s a romcom, I find the storyline to be a bit predictable. It could also be the fact that I’m not vibing with the characters… Idk, I’m feeling really off when it comes to this novel. But I will finish it, and I will give you all an update and an honest review hopefully by the end of the week. We shall see.
What Did You Recently Finish Reading?
SOOOO…. Usually, when the word Daddy or Uncle are in a title, I’m immediately skeptical of the romance within the novel…. Usually, I tend to skip the book and go on to my next read… HOWEVER, I had two ads pop up on my facebook with snippets from two books that I found really intriguing. And if you know anything about bookish ads on facebook, they refrain from listing the title and make you click the amazon link to find out wth you actually read… I loved the sneak peeks from both of these books, but I was sadly disappointed by the title. Another HOwever, I decided to give these books a try… I mean, there is no actual relation in any of these novels so why not… I really enjoyed Daddy’s Best Friend by Sofia T. Summers, and I plan to read more from this author in the future. This was a 4 star read for me. As for Filthy Uncle To Go by S.C. Adams, I wasn’t a huge fan of this novel. I needed a bit more substance and detail to bring my rating up. This was a 3 star read for me. I seriously think Author’s need to work better at titling their novels. I would have passed both books up, just by their titles if I hadn’t read the sneak peeks….
What Do You Plan On Reading Next?
This week, I plan to catch up on the Made For Series by Natasha Madison. I also plan on catching up on my Jamie Begley reading order with two of the three books i have yet to read! I can’t wait to read all three of these books!

You are not alone with the Ryan book. I actually DNF’d it earlier this week because I hated how it turned into an office romance. It just didn’t fit well.
Whew! I was hoping it wasn’t just me that thought the vibe felt off. I DNF’d it early this morning ๐ I just couldn’t get into it.
