Question Of The Day:
Do You Prefer Books With Heavier Topics or Lighter Topics?
My Answer:
This is a very close tie for me. I love romantic comedies and I love ugly cry novels. With that being said, I tend to prefer books on the heavier side of the spectrum. Love triangles, forbidden romances, and the famous I have a secret are some of my favorite tropes in the heavier romance spectrum. I love that moment of no return, when an author brings you to the brink of tears and it takes one final detail to have those tears spilling over. The sappier the romance, the better in my opinion. I love having every emotion pulled from me, and I love giving an author the power to break my heart with one chapter and heal it in the very next.
Which do you prefer?

Peace Love and Happy Reading,

I find myself switching off – I’ll often look for a much lighter book after reading something especially dark or heavy to clear my brain and give it a break.
Yes! Last year I fell down a dark reading rabbit hole, and I couldn’t find my way back. It took a Kaylee Ryan novel to pull me from a horrible book funk. I now make it a mission to mix a few light reads into the dark chaos.
I like both, but usually prefer lighter ones. I need to prepare myself for those heavier reads.
I’m still all about the angst and the heavy reads! These days, however, I do like the romances that make me smile and laugh. I think we all need a good dose of humor these days.
