Pretty Little Tease is the first book in A.J. Merlin’s Pretty Obsession series. In all honesty, if you don’t care much for dark taboo type romances, I highly recommend you move on from this novel. Believe me when I say, it gets dark and crazy, real fast. Pretty Little Tease includes MM, MFM, and MMF romance scenes.

So in order to keep this review as spoiler free as possible, I’m just going to share my thoughts. So let’s get started!

When I first started Pretty Little Tease, I had no clue what I was in for. Having recently read a novel by A.J. Merlin I wanted to experience something more sinister than what I read before. And the blurb promised all the deliciously dirty and devious moments! I instantly wanted this book on my kindle. 

I rated this novel 3 stars because I needed more substance and more chemistry between the three main characters. I really enjoyed the first half of the book. I loved the heightened temptation surrounding these chapters. This is definitely a sexy novel. However, It was somewhere at the halfway point when things started to fall apart for me. It could be the fact that this novel was easy for me to predict and that left the mystery point a tad bit moot. Or it could be the fact that I lost a bit of the character connections at this point and onwards. I think a mixture of the two was the downfall for me.

At this moment, I plan to finish the series in hopes that the second book will be better than the first, where chemistry is concerned. And honestly, I can’t leave things unfinished. So, if you’re looking for a sinfully sexy romance and aren’t good at predicting outcomes in romance novels, It’s easy to recommend this novel. But if you’re like me and can’t help but play Sherlock Holmes and predict novels, you may enjoy the sexy moments, but the mystery and suspense will feel a little flat.
