Synopsis:

When lies become truths.

My name is Reina Ellis.
Popular.
Beautiful.
Untouchable.
Problem is, I remember none of it.

His name is Asher Carson.
Gorgeous.
Silent.
Dark.
Oh, and my future husband.

He has three rules for me:
I’ll bow.
I’ll break.
I’ll pay for what I’ve done.

Problem is, I don’t remember what I’ve done, but I have a clue.
There was a fire.
A dead girl.
And I was there.

All The Lies is a dark new adult book that contains dubious situations some readers might find offensive and/or triggering. If you’re looking for a hero, you won’t find him in Asher Carson. Please don’t read if any of that bothers you. All The Lies is part of a duet and is not standalone.

All The Lies is the first book in Rina Kent’s Lies & Truths Duet.

Waking up in a hospital without a single notion of who you are, isn’t the ideal situation. But what’s worse is when Reina’s memories don’t come back, she finds herself wading in a pool of quicksand. Now her mission is to right the wrongs the old Reina committed. In doing so, she’s about to uncover a dark secret that her poor brain may not be ready to handle. And if that wasn’t enough, she discovers she’s engaged to a man who despises her very existence…. Oh, the dramatic and angst-ridden possibilities are endless!!

My Thoughts:

In order to give you all a full in-depth review of All The Lies, I’m writing this review before diving into the second book in the Lies & Truths Duet, All The Truths. And let me tell you, it’s legit killing my reader’s soul to not immediately dive into the next book. That cliffhanger was brutal! Which leads me to say, I’m so happy I just found this author. That waiting game would have been the worst!

I’m going to say, I felt so much heartbreak for Reina’s character. From not remembering her life, the dreams, and to the fact that everybody hates old Reina and is taking it out on new Reina made me want to cry for this character. But through it all, she survived. This woman is a survivor through and through. She just has to get Asher to see, she’s not the same Reina that tormented those beneath her. She’s not his little monster anymore. And Asher is one person she may not survive against.

If you’re looking for a wham bam thank you ma’am romance, this is not that romance. The sexy time moments are few and far between and I think this is the first time I was okay with that. I liked the slow build-up with Asher and Reina. I liked seeing Asher in a state of confusion, thinking one way that this is one of Reina’s games, and then the other, what if this isn’t a game. Honestly, his state of confusion put me through my very own. Now I’m sitting here wondering what the heck is about to happen in book 2….

Throughout this novel, I tried to grasp and figure out Reina’s character. Let me say, there is no figuring this one out. I have my predictions on how this duet will end, but I’ll save them for a rainy day… or until I read the book. I have a very funny feeling it’s going to end the way I predict, but I’ve had that feeling before with this author, and 90% of the time I come out wrong. However, if it’s the way I predict, I’m going to say this will be one EPIC conclusion!! The only thing I’ll say that has me leaning towards my prediction, is Asher’s nickname changed for Reina. She went from his monster to his prom queen…

Now, I’m going to let you all go so I don’t further spoil this novel for you. Also, I’m wanting answers and I’m wanting them now, so I’ll spend the remainder of the day marathoning All the Truths! If you all love a heavy dose of suspense with Amnesia type vibes, I highly recommend you pick this one up and give it a read. This duet is a standalone, with only one passing mention of Aiden King. I can’t wait to see if there are more glimpses of the Four Horsemen in the next book. At this moment, It’s all a myster to me and I can’t wait to uncover each piece!
