Blurb:

Ever wonder what would happen if you bribed your brother’s ex-best friend to be your first?

Yeah, me either, but I did it anyway. Now the moody man is madder than ever, but I came prepared to strike a deal …
One he can’t refuse.

Crew Taylor is the picture of perfection, if gruff, grumpy, and prone to throw a punch is your type. Clearly, it’s mine or I wouldn’t be begging him to bite the bullet and claim my virginity as his own.

Sure, he’s a bit of a caveman, broody and bossy and oh so naughty, but that’s sort of the point.
He’s experienced, his heated hazel eyes promising sinful skills in seduction, and I want him to teach me all he knows.

Lesson by lesson.
Night after night.

The problem?

He says he won’t allow me in his bed … but I wonder what it would take to get him to play in mine a bit?

The Deal Dilemma by Meagan Brandy is a suspense filled romantic standalone. If you’re looking for a novel with suspense, angst, romance, and an epic happily ever after, look no further and grab Crew and Davis’ story!

Because this tale has suspense in it, I’m going to omit the “In My Own Words” part of my review and skip right to my thoughts. My initial thoughts when I started to read The Deal Dilemma were filled with pure excitement. I had a feeling this romance would be sexy, swoony, and epic in every way possible.

Davis was the nerdy girl of the story, I loved the fact that numbers sent her mind immediately into nerd mode. I also loved the fact that Crew was the brawn of the story. This man had to fight his way through life, and he continues to fight his way towards the future he can only reach in his dreams. So we have Crew who’s the brawn and Davis who’s the brain. I loved this feature of their romance.

Davis and Crew’s story had me laughing one minute and on the verge of tears the very next. I’m telling you, Meagan Brandy threw in so many curve balls with this one. I felt the emotional whiplash. And i’m telling you, Davis and Crew’s relationship showed its strength through every single obstacle. I loved the fact that their was no meaningless dramatic lack of communication moment between the two. He told her his intentions. She showed him her love. And they solved their problems like champs!

Now onto the suspense moment, which also happens to be the reasoning behind why I dropped a star on my rating. I loved the climatic moment where the suspense officially takes off, however, I felt these moments were rushed. I wanted more of the not knowing aspect. I wanted more detailed moments between all the angst and turmoil. I also would have liked to see more of the relationship between Davis and her parents. And Crew and his foster parents.

Overall, I enjoyed The Deal Dilemma by Meagan Brandy. Her writing style always has me coming back for more. I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for her next novel!!

  1. I just finished this one the other day. I didn’t realize it was romantic suspense. I thought it was just supposed to be the steamiest she had written. I felt like this book had too much going on in a way. The whole first part was her trying to get him to hook up and then a few mysterious comments. Then when it felt like things should be wrapping up, the whole suspense angle took over. I liked it, but I almost felt like an afterthought that way. Great review!

    1. I agree, there was a ton going on. After the halfway point I forgot all about the *deal* Davis initiated…. hmmm… I did like the romance aspect, but everything else with the brother and the fighting, was a bit over the top, in my opinion.
