Synopsis:

Early morning feedings, barn clean up, and chasing goats are Knox Bishop’s everyday routine. That changes when a bachelor auction brings him face to face with the world’s most forbidden fruit—his twin brother’s crush.

He shouldn’t tempt her, but the way her body reacts to his makes it too damn easy.

Hadleigh has known the Bishop twins all her life and they’ve never crossed the lines. That is until she fools around with Knox and learns he has a piercing south of the border. A piercing she very much enjoys licking.

She knows his main hobby consists of random weekend hookups, but she can’t get the taste of him off her mind.

Admitting what she feels wouldn’t be so difficult if Kane Bishop hadn’t just confessed his feelings for her too. Now she finds herself wedged between two brothers—one she could break and one who could break her.

**Claiming the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

These Bishop Brother’s are T-R-O-U-B-L-E with a side of SEXY AS SIN!

It’s official, Kennedy Fox just proved they can take any trope and make it their own! Going into Claiming The Cowboy, I wasn’t sure how much I would like it given the Love Triangle status, but oh my sweet grapes, Knox, Kane, and Hadleigh’s story burned bright! I had trouble putting this book down!

As a side note, If you all don’t know, I’m a huge fan of 70s, 80s, and 90s country music.… and holy hell, Claiming The Cowboy gave me some serious That Ain’t My Truck by Rhett Atkins Vibes!!! Kennedy Fox just turned one of my favorite country songs into a story! And I’m not sure if they know it

I’m not going to dive too deep into what this one is about due to spoilers. What I will tell you, be prepared for ALL THE FEELS. From sexy as sin, to swoony with a little angst.

These Bishop Twins have it all, the only thing they don’t have is the one woman who wants them both. I loved the fact that Knox and Kane are twins, but these two brother’s couldn’t be more opposite if they tried. Kane is slow and steady while Knox is as wild as they come. But beneath the surface they each have something the other wants. Knox wants the recognition that he’s more than just a playboy, the man has ambition and a drive to build something more.

Next we have the leading lady in Claiming The Cowboy, Hadleigh Callaway. Hadleigh is a sweetheart, but something in Knox Bishop has always had her craving a taste of the wild side. When she wins a date with Knox, never in her wildest dreams would she have predicted the outcome. It’s just one date, after all. But what she doesn’t prepare for is the fact that Kane Bishop, the man who has been her best friend since they were both knee high, has feelings for her. All these men are coming out of the woodwork, what’s a girl to do! In all honesty, I wasn’t quite sure how much I was going to like Hadleigh. After all, these are the Bishop Brothers we’re talking about. I may be a tad bit overprotective when it comes to these fictional brothers and this fictional family. Given the love triangle trope, I gathered I would dislike her through this novel. But that’s the complete opposite to what I thought of Hadleigh. This girl was caught between a rock and a hard place. In the end, she knew she was going to walk away a winner, but someone she cared deeply about was going to end up walking away clutching his broken heart. I don’t envy her or the ultimatum she was given… But the outcome of said ultimatum, holy crow! This may just be the spiciest moment in Kennedy Fox history! And something I was NOT expecting at all!

Now onto why I dropped a half star rating…..

I loved everything about Knox, Hadleigh, and Kane’s story. I was consumed by this story and these characters. But throughout the novel, I found myself wanting more moments between Kane and Hadleigh. I wanted to feel more of that ‘best friend’ type connection. And I understand, this novel was about two men falling in love with the same girl, so those moments between Kane and Hadleigh were supposed to be few and far between…. So we can easily chalk this up to a spoiled reader moment.

Overall, I loved Knox and Hadleigh’s romance and I loved Kane and Hadleigh’s friendship. The chemistry between all the characters was completely off the charts. And of course, the strong Bishop bonds shined bright within this book. But what won my heart over in the end was the passion that lived within the pages of this novel. Every page held a different emotion. Now, we all know due to the blurb, this is Knox’s story. And that leaves me to understand Kane’s story is coming up soon! And given the ending of Claiming The Cowboy, It’s safe to say, I need Kane’s story now!!!

Okay, I think I’ve rambled enough about this novel. Just know, I may have docked a half star off from my rating, but this will go down as one of my favorite novels of 2022! I can’t seem to get enough of these Bishops!
