Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted byย That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week is a new bookish category in which we get to brag about our favorite books that fit with the weekโs category. You can pick your top 5, 10, 15โฆor so on. I tend to keep my list to ten! However, today I decided to throw in a couple extra booksโฆ.
Todayโs category:
Book Quotes that Fit X Theme (Pick any theme you want)
Today I decided to go with my favorite Inspirational/Thought Provoking Quotes from romance novels. These quotes sunk their hooks in deep and held on tight and in the end, caused me to love the novels that much more.ย

โJust because someone hurts you doesn’t mean you can simply stop loving them. It’s not a person’s actions that hurt the most. It’s the love. If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear.โ – Colleen Hoover (It Ends With Us)
โYou could meet a thousand people and none of them would mean anything to you, but then youโd meet one, and suddenly they meant everything.โ – J. Sterling (Dear Heart, I Hate You)
โWe all look at our parents through rose-colored glasses. Those lenses make you miss their flaws, overlook their shortcomings…and still be able to love them unconditionally.โ – K. Bromberg (The Player)
โLust is a violent desire, destructive and uncontrollable. If you let the sensation take root, you become captive to its power, until youโre waking up in the wreckage of its path.โ – Ker Dukey (Lust)
โGrowing up isnโt about learning something new. Itโs about unlearning the fairy tales you believe as a child.โ – Skye Warren (Overture)
โWhen the past knocks on your door, it’s because there’s unfinished business.โ – RC Boldt (He Loves Me…Knot)
โA person never reads an outstanding book twice and walks away with the same beliefs. An outstanding book always surprises you and awakens you to new ideas, new ways of looking at the world, no matter how many times the words have been read.โ – Brittainy C. Cherry (The Silent Waters)
โBut we are sometimes in the most danger when we let our guards down, when we let peace deceive us and trick us into forgetting.โ – Kennedy Ryan (Grip)
โThe grass is green where itโs cared for. Live a life that feeds you inspiration.โ – Dylan Allen (The Sun and Her Star)
โChange is hard in the beginning, messy in the middle, and beautiful at the end.โ – Emma Scott (The Girl In The Love Song)

So many good ones here! I don’t even know where to start! Maybe that J. Sterling quote. That was my first book by her and I loved it.
J. Sterling always has the most amazing and thought provoking quotes in her novels. Dear Heart, I Hate You is one of my favorites! I need to do a reread on this one.
I love that quote about the importance of “feeding” the grass in your life. It’s so true.

This quote is one of my absolute favorites from this novel and from Dylan Allen! I agree, there is so much truth behind these words. โค
You have some fo my favorite authors here!
I’m not a romance reader, so forgive me for saying this, but I’ve never thought of romance novels as having much wisdom in them. You proved me wrong! There are lots of great quotes here that offer up some very astute observations on life. Thanks for sharing.
Happy TTT!
Susan
