Hold The Forevers by K.A. Linde Is an emotional standalone with a love triangle, so let it be warned if love triangles aren’t your thing, this novel may not be your most favorite. Lila’s journey through love broke my heart!

Lila has known two great loves in her life.

Ash was her high school boyfriend, the man she shared all her firsts with and the one she saw her first forever with. Their love burned bright, but the threat of exposing their relationship to his wealthy family was always at the front of their minds…. Ash was also her first experience into the wonderful world of heartbreak *enter sarcasm*. He was the man who irrevocably broke her soul.

When Lila goes off to college, she never imagined her heart could ever be mended again, until Cole walks into her life. Cole is the man she never expected to enter her life. He’s the second part of this love story. The connection was immediate and the spark flickered brighter than all. But eventually trouble has a way of finding happiness. A huge decision looms in the background of this novel. And Lila has to make a life altering decision…. Who will her heart choose?

My Thoughts:

This portion of the review is going to be cut short due to spoilers. I found everything I write contains a few small spoiler details and due to the fact that this novel stems on the fact of a *Who is she going to choose?* vibe, I have decided to keep things as vague as I possibly can.

My heart was a MESS throughout Lila, Cole, and Ash’s story! I have to give a round of applause to K.A. Linde for making me feel so many emotions at one time! Holy shit, this was one bumpy ride! But the end game was well worth the vast amount of tears!

I loved Lila throughout this novel, to an extent, towards the end though I felt a little annoyed with her wishy washy approach. It could have been the facts that my emotions were heightened, but I wanted her to make up her damn mind on who was the main man!! I needed her to be upfront and vocal about what she wanted. She definitely needed a little me time to sit and reflect on what SHE deserves in life, and what SHE wants HER outcome to eventually be. I needed a bit more from her character towards the end. I did, however, love her character in the beginning of the novel. It just changed somewhere towards the last half.

Now when it comes to the two men in her life, and again with me being vague to avoid spoilers, I felt one man was more sincere than the other. I felt one was in it for love while the other one was in it because he felt like it was what was ‘supposed’ to happen. I had my favorite man. but throughout this novel I was an emotional mess because I had no idea who she would pick. I tend to be a professional at predicting novels with this type of trope and story line, but this novel left me stumped throughout. I had no clue which she would pick or even if she would choose one of the two men in her life…. My brain was scrambled throughout! I was a HOT MESS, that’s for damn sure.

Overall, I thought I was ready for the angst. I prepared myself for the tears, but there was no preparing for this one! K.A. Linde brought the emotion with this one! I honestly couldn’t put this one down to save my life! Hold The Forevers was one hell of a ride.
