Every time I see a new novel written by Natasha Madison pop up on my kindle, I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! And what a perfect time for this bad boy to land on my kindle. I need a little happiness in my life. It’s the perfect time to disappear and dive into Nico and Becca’s story!!!
In My Own Words:
Only One Touch is the fourth book in the Only One series by Natasha Madison. Judging from the context, I think it’s safe to assume that these books can all be read as standalones. And going off that, I decided to dive into this book without reading the other three first. I am a bit behind with my tbr.
Nico is the owner/GM of the Dallas Oilers. He’s a man on a mission to be the best in the business and that means having the best team in the business. With his passion for work, he has no time for a love life.
Becca is the number one sought after agents in the business. She prides herself on being honest and giving her clients the drive they need to be the best in the business. Like Nico, she’s also passionate about her work and hasn’t the time for a love life.
Until one touch changed the course of their lives.
My Thoughts:
There is no doubt about it, Natasha Madison knows how to bring the heat, the swoon, and the heart! So many feels and so many great emotional vibes! I couldn’t get enough of Nico and Becca’s story.
Only One Touch is a workplace/office romance full of heat and swoon. It has been a LONG time since I last dived into an office/workplace romance. And in all honesty, this isn’t my absolute favorite trope. I tend to lean more towards the side of like, when it comes to this trope, and less to the side of love. But because it is a Natasha Madison novel, and I’ve been known to love her past office/workplace novels before, I decided to give this one a try. And with all honesty, I really enjoyed the way this trope was written. I think it’s because it was written a different way. Nico and Becca were both really good at what they do, and what they did was entirely different. There wasn’t any ‘workplace’ drama and I really appreciated this aspect.
It has to be said once again, I love Natasha Madison’s heroes! These men never let me down. Nico is everything and so much more. I loved his style and I loved his vibes throughout this novel. He has so much heart! I loved every aspect of him.
And then we have Becca. Becca is her own ruler of her kingdom. She’s the top sought after sports agent in the league and she busted her ass to get to that point. Her life is all about her job and helping others out. I loved her vibes and her girl power mantra. What I didn’t like though was the exact detail of what she was wearing in every scene. I didn’t really need to know her bags were Hermes and her shoes were along those same lines. These certain aspects kind of threw off the story for me and that is why I rated this novel 4 stars.
I also felt the ending was a bit rushed. It may also be my selfish need to not want to let Nico go. I was NOT ready to say goodbye to this man. I wasn’t ready to let him go.
I also wanted more hockey action!!
Overall, Nico and Becca were a joy to read. I loved their scenes together. The temptation throughout this novel was all consuming. There were a few exceptions to my ability to fall fully in love with this novel though. In the end, this novel was an entertaining read.
