New York Times bestseller Elle Kennedy brings you a sexy new Off-Campus novel that can be read as a standalone

He knows how to score, on and off the ice

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

Kleymissky Regular

The Score is the one I’ve been waiting for!!! What can I say, I’m a sucker for a bad boy falling hopelessly in love!!!

In My Own Words:

The Score by Elle Kennedy is the third book in the Off-Campus series. This novel is told from both Dean and Allie’s point of view.

Dean is the perfect specimen for a college bad boy. He never goes back for second chances, and he damn well doesn’t allow a girl to get too attached to him. He’s been down that road before, and he’ll gladly take a detour to avoid it a second time around.

Allie is on the mend from her recent and final breakup with her boyfriend. She’s not looking for anything serious, what with the temptation of going back to her ex. She’s not about to break any more hearts. Or so she thinks, that is until one bottle of tequila and a sleepover with Dean gets in the way of things.

Now Dean and Allie must face the cold hard truth, their perfect for each other. They’ve found a way to find trust in one another, and they have torn down each other’s walls. Sounds like the perfect relationship, but something is holding the two back from exclusivity.

My Thoughts:

I have said this every single time…. This series keeps getting better with the more I read! If you were to ask me right now who my favorite couple is… I wouldn’t be able to answer! I love them all in their own unique ways. Elle Kennedy is a rockstar when it comes to flawlessly creating an emotional world without it being overly angsty. I love the fact that I can easily relate to these characters and their relationships. I’m honestly in love with this new adult world she created.

Now onto what I loved about The Score!

Let’s start with Dean Di Laurentis. This man is not only swoony and sexy, he’s also understanding and true to who he is. There was never a moment where I second guessed his character. He’s who he is, and he put it all on the table. This man isn’t perfect, but who wants perfect. Perfect is boring.

Allie Hayes is your typical girl next door on the outside, but beneath the surface is a fierce wildcat looking to let loose. And what perfect way to let loose than with Briar University’s very own bad boy.
I loved Allie and Dean together. Their characters blend perfectly together. She’s the calm to his storm. I loved watching them slowly morph into better individuals. Allie was able to let loose and Dean started to become more reserved. I LOVED IT!! Not only are these two perfect for each other, they also have an undeniable chemistry that nearly lit my kindle on fire. SCORCHING HOT!!!

The only reason why I rated this a four instead of a full five star was a simple fact of, I wanted more Hockey in this romance…. Same as with the other two novels that came before this one. I wanted more game play. I wanted to be inside Dean’s head while he was on the ice. Come to think about it, I also felt the ending was a bit rushed…. But holy hell…. That bomb that was dropped at the end of the story by Tucker is one I won’t be able to forget about anytime soon…. I will be diving into The Goal tonight!

Do I recommend this novel?

Absolutely, If you love the new adult/college genre, I think it’s safe to assume you will love this series.
