Blurb:

When Blair Beaufort literally crashes into Bellamy Creek wearing a ball gown and a tiara, I should have towed her car, said goodnight, and sent her packing.

I’m a mechanic, not a hotel manager. I’ve got enough on my plate trying to keep my shop from going under, my overbearing mother off my back, and my baseball team in contention for the league championship. I don’t have time for a former debutante with zero street smarts and a cash flow problem, even if she is crazy beautiful.

Problem is, she’s stranded in my small town, and I’m hiding a protective streak underneath my broody exterior that runs deep. So I offer her a place to stay and keep my hands to myself.

For exactly one night.

If only she weren’t so gorgeous. So funny. So eager to please. She’s a disaster behind the wheel, but she drives me wild without even trying–at work, at home, in the back of my truck . . . I can’t get enough of the way she makes me feel.

But I know better than to think it can last. She wants a fairy tale, and I’m no prince.

So when it comes time for her to leave, there’s nothing I can do but let her go.

No matter how much it hurts to say goodbye.

Griffin and Blair’s story had my heart singing and my soul feeling light from start to end.

About Drive Me Wild:

Drive Me Wild is the first book in Melanie Harlow’s Bellamy Creek Series. This one is told from both Griffin and Blair’s point of view.

All Griffin wants out of life is a roof over his head and his families legacy to succeed. But with a new chain auto shop moving into town, day to day business dramatically slowing down, and the bank constantly refusing his loan Griffin’s finding it hard to stay positive these days. Until a woman in a white ball gown literally crashes into his life. Fate has a way of weaving situations that are out of our control.

Blair’s world is exploding around, so instead of sitting back and squawking about mistakes that were made and can’t be fixed she decides to follow her dreams, even if it means going against the posh lifestyle her parents want for her. Blair’s dream is to one day own her very own bakery. But as she’s driving down the interstate, she sees a billboard for the best apple pie in the country, so she takes a sudden detour. Fate can sometimes be a fickle bitch when not listened to, and soon she finds herself stranded in a small town where everyone knows everybody’s deepest darkest secrets, and she’s suddenly the main focus.

A new dynamic is set in place, Fate intervenes, and Griffin and Blair’s life is about to change for the better. They just don’t know it yet.

My Thoughts:

If this first book (Drive Me Wild) is any indication for how the Bellamy Creek series is going to be, we are in for a real sweet treat!!! After sitting here and thinking about my review and trying to add up all the pros and cons, I came to a conclusion. I couldn’t find a single con within this story. I loved it all, from start to finish.

It should come as no surprise, I love Melanie’s novels for the heart, the heat, and the truth. Small town romances are a huge hit for me. But given the fact that the majority of her small town romances are set in Michigan is a great big juicy cherry on the top of a decadent cake!!! I’m a Michigan girl, not born, but definitely raised. Pure Michigan all the way! If you look close enough, you can find some beautiful gems in our state! Melanie Harlow takes the beauty that I was raised around and puts a story to it! It’s always an adventure picking up one of her novels, that’s for damn sure!!

I loved Blair’s character. This girl was sheltered from the time she was born. She grew up having people wait on her and having things constantly done for her. Now that she’s thirty years old, she’s finally reaching in and allowing her independence to run her life. But living the independent lifestyle isn’t as easy as Blair had hoped. I loved seeing her excitement when doing miniscule tasks by herself. Like when Griffin showed her how to jump a dead battery. I felt her excitement and it took me back to the time when I was thirteen years old and my dad taught me the very same thing. Ah the memories.

Griffin was a sweetheart. He had the swoon down to an art, but his character also had the weight of the world on his shoulders. I wanted to reach into this novel and hug the guy. My heart broke for him and his past. His walls were built of solid steel and after hearing his backstory, I don’t blame him for closing down his heart for good.

I also loved the ‘old man baseball’! Ah, these guys remind me of my friends back home. The highlight of their summer is the baseball leagues. Honestly, I felt the most homesick while reading these moments.

Overall, Drive Me Wild was a great read full of laughs and a few tears. I couldn’t get enough of Griffin, Blair, and the gang! I legit can’t wait to see what is coming next in the Bellamy Creek series! Melanie Harlow is the queen of small town romances!!!!! I need more!
