Holy hell! Bully King is a ride full of unexpected turns and WTF moments. JA Huss had me on the edge of my seat the whole read through. I couldn’t get enough!
I’m fairly new to the world of JA Huss. If memory serves me correct, I believe this is the second book I read by this author. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. I love novels that force you to expect the unexpected and still the unexpected shocks the hell out of you and that’s exactly what Bully King did. This novel shocked the hell out of me.
Bully King is a new adult ‘bully’ romance, told from both Cadee and Cooper’s point of view. I’m going to warn you, this bully romance takes Bullying to an all new level. A few situations lead even me to feeling uncomfortable. I’m telling you, Cadee has a spine made of steel for putting up wiht all the shit Cooper, Lars, and Ax put her through. Her strength is the main reasoning behind why I was hooked from the very start. Cadee is a force to be reckoned with.
Cooper, Lars, and Ax have a mission and their dead set on seeing it through. For this mission has the grand prize at the end, and that is their freedom from their fathers evil clutches. But they’re about to learn a lesson they always knew. They’re about to enter a game full of deceit, secrets, and lies. A game they initially tried to avoid at all costs.
Throughout Bully King, I had a love/hate relationship with these three characters. Lars is the thinker and the most approachable of the trio. Ax is the terrifying one that isn’t afraid to stand up for those he truly cares about in the trio. And Cooper is the one with a chip on his shoulder, and we all know, a man with a chip on his shoulder can result in him being the most dangerous of them all. On the outskirts these boys seem like your normal everyday bad boy turned good book boyfriend. But deep down these men have some dark thoughts and they’re about to unleash all their inner demons on one unsuspecting person. Cadee Hunter.
Cadee Hunter has always considered herself as the loner surrounded by rich assholes, and then Cooper, Ax, and Lars noticed her. She thought she had it all until her world came crashing down around her and the three men tossed her to the side like yesterday’s leftovers. Fast forward three years and now Cadee’s fate hangs in the clutches of the Chairman of High Court College and she’s about to enter a game she’s not prepared for. Her secret being the greatest of them all. And the game involving the three men she once gave her heart to, three years ago.
I stated this above, and I’ll say it again. Cadee’s strength is uncanny! A normal person wouldn’t be able to take all the crap Cooper, Lars, and Ax threw at her. This book takes bully romances to a whole new level. My initial thoughts were, this girl either has the strength of a fucking ox or the stupidity of a deer jumping in the middle of a highway… I tend to think more on the positive side of the spectrum so I’ll go with the strength of an ox…..
Bottom line, this girl is crazy!

Overall, Bully King was an epic read and one that I can easily and highly recommend to those who love this type of trope and love a load of mystery wrapped up in their romances. This one is definitely worthy of the 1-click! Hang on and prepare yourself for one wild ride.
