Unexpected Reality is the first book in Kaylee Ryan’s Unexpected Arrivals series. This novel revolves around the unexpected romance of Ridge and Kendall.

Now being completely honest, I went into this novel completely blind and unknowing of the content. I didn’t read the blurb and I didn’t read any reviews for fear of being spoiled. I just dove in and fell head over heals in love with Ridge and Kendall. I have to admit, I cried a few times, my heart broke a few times, and I may have wanted to crush my kindle into a wall a few times… But in the end, I loved these two together and I loved the friendship vibes that morphed into a strong connection… And when you through in a sexy as sin single father and a sweet baby in the mix… I’m pretty much a goner. I never had a chance.

Overall, Unexpected Reality was a great single father romance. This one seriously tugged at all of my heartstrings. I’m a sucker when it comes to single dad romances that involve babies, but what I loved most about this one was my inability to predict the story. Every prediction I had was wrong and every twist and turn came out of the blue. I even shed a few tears for this one.

If you’re a fan of novels that tug at the heartstrings with an air of surprise, don’t hesitate to pick up this one!
