I wanted to love this one so much. After reading Long Hard Ride, I’ve been intrigued by Gemma Jansen and Cash Big Crow’s story! But sadly, there was a bit too much going on in this novel. I wish this novel was based on this couple instead of split between two couples.

Gemma lost her one true love and in that time she hasn’t felt the need to be with anyone after her late husband’s passing. But once she sets her sights on Cash Big Crow, Gemma’s body comes to life and she wants this man with everything inside of her. But Cash Big Crow has stipulations. In order for Gemma to get exactly what she wants, she has to let her guard down and give up control. The only rule, she may be the boss of Cash during the day, but Cash is the boss during the night.

And as if these two weren’t facing their own issues, Cash now has his estranged daughter, Macie, staying with him during the summer. A daughter that he’d do everything in his power to protect.

Carter McKay and Macie have their own romance weaving through the tale of this novel.

I can’t deny this book is hot as hell and the cowboys are sexy as sin. I also can’t deny that I’m completely addicted to this series after only reading two books. I liked Gemma and Cash’s story and Macie and Carter’s story but I didn’t love it. I wanted just a tad bit more from both couples.

But on a positive note, I can’t wait to see what’s coming next in this wonderful world of sexy cowboys and their feisty leading ladies!! Lorelei James has sparked my interest….inevitably!
