I’m currently reading Pike by T.M. Frazier. I just picked up this novel so I’m not quite sure how I feel about it at the moment. I do have high hopes given the fact that I have loved nearly everything I’ve read by this author. The prologue definitely has me wanting to read more!

Pike
(The Pawn Duet, #1)
By: T.M. Frazier

Genre: Romantic Suspense
Publisher: Indie
Release Date: March 24th, 2020

Blurb:

Born into chaos. Baptized in the gutter.
I was raised by the violent laws of the streets, spilling blood without the
hindrance of useless emotions or connections.
Unfeeling. Unloved. Alone.

My life was perfect.
Until her.

While on a manhunt for a mysterious enemy, one hellbent on taking both my
business and my life, I find Mickey. She’s covered in mud, rambling
nonsense, and clearly out of her mind.

She’s also a distraction I don’t need.

That is until I discover a connection between the girl and my enemy.
Mickey isn’t a distraction anymore.
She’s the perfect weapon.
One I’ll use to exact my revenge.

The plan is an easy one, but there’s something about Mickey that’s making
it more and more difficult.
A familiarity I can’t place. A need I can’t explain.
A want I have to deny.

After all, she’s not mine to keep. She’s a tool. My pawn.
My sacrifice.

I’m also currently reading Unexpected Odds by Kaylee Ryan. Unexpected Odds is the fifth book in Kaylee Ryan’s Unexpected Arrivals series. I’m a few chapters into this one and I’m finding it hard to put down! This whole series has been one huge emotional roller coaster. I’m loving it so much.

This week I finished three books! The first one on my list is From The First Verse by M. Robinson. This duet is going to be an emotional roller coaster! I can’t wait until I have all the pieces to Journey and Cash’s story. Although, I’m not sure if my heart can withstand what my brain is predicting. But as for From The First Verse, this novel was a great and addicting read! You can check out my full spoiler free review HERE! I rated From The First Verse 5 STARS!

From The First Verse
(Life Of Debauchery Duet, #1)
By: M. Robinson

Genre: Contemporary Romance/Angst
Publisher: Indie
Publication Date: March 25th,2020

Blurb:

Dear diary,

Once upon a time…

There was a girl with long golden hair who had the truest, bluest eyes that turned white when she cried.

She lived in a kingdom far, far away in a tower made of stone, but her mind was made of glass that she kept sharp as knives.

Where her memories hid behind her darkest doubts.
Her deepest thoughts.
Her diary became the only thing she could rely on.

No one saw through her looking glass.
No one cared.
No one tried.

Until the villain presented himself as the hero in her life.
He took and took and took some more.

With no regret.
With no shame.
With no apology.

The page never turned.
Their story didn’t end.
Tomorrow never came.
His life of debauchery was their journey to nowhere.

She’d give anything to go back in time.
To walk where she had walked.
To see what she had seen.
One step.
One breath.
One day at a time.
Though in the end, “I love you” were just words.

That destroyed us inside.

I also finished two books in Kaylee Ryan’s Unexpected Arrivals series! The first being Unexpected Fall. I liked this one but not as much as I liked the others in the series. The back and forth between the Dawn and Mark was a bit annoying.  Mark was the main key to why I kept reading this one. I loved not only his swoony vibes but also the fact that this man truly cares. Now Dawn, she was the key for why I almost set this book to the side. I hated her wishy washy vibes and her insecurities. She definitely had a personality swap somewhere through this series. I rated Unexpected Fall 3 Stars

And last but certainly not least. I just finished a copy of Unexpected Bond by Kaylee Ryan. I CRIED SO FREAKING HARD!!! There are no words to describe how much Seth and Mara’s story touched my heart and soul. There story isn’t all rainbows and sunshine, this story is raw and emotional. I’m not going to give away spoilers, just know if you are a fan of angst and those ugly cry moments, definitely pick this book up.
