Blurb:
Stone Reeves was my neighbor, and I’ve hated him since sixth grade.
Gorgeous and charismatic, he became the town’s football god, while I became the town’s invisible girl.
He went to a Division 1 school for football, while my father was fired by his father.
His team won the National Championship, while my mother died the same day.
He was a first round pick for the NFL …
… while I made the worst decision in my life.
Now I’m in Texas trying to pick up the pieces of my life.
But, Stone is here.
Stone is everywhere.
It doesn’t matter that disaster has struck my life again.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the one trying to console me.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the nation’s newest football obsession.
Because for me, he always has been and always will be my enemy.

Everytime a novel written by TIJAN shows up on my kindle I immediately stop what I’m doing and dive into it. Every damn time I promise myself I’ll just read a couple chapters to see what its all about and every damn time I end up devouring the novel a few hours later. It’s an endless cause to make unkept promises of a few chapters or a few pages. Enemies is just another example of why it’s not a good idea to start a TIJAN novel past bedtime. This story will keep you up all freakin night!
About Enemies:
Enemies is a full length New Adult Sports Romance, and is also a standalone. If you love the enemies to lovers trope, this is the novel you should be reading right now! If you love a heavy amount of angst in your romances, this is definitely the novel for you.
Enemies is also told from Dusty’s point of view with a few chapters in Stone’s point of view.
Dusty is on the run from her past. Now she’s at a new college far away from home and the only person she knows is the enemy she would have liked to keep in her rear view mirror. Stone Reeves. The boy who was once her best friend turned into a man who betrayed her in the worst ways possible, quickly becoming her enemy.
Now Stone is adamant to mend the bridge his family burned a long time ago. His mission is nearly impossible but Stone Reeves is a force to be reckoned with. He’ll do everything in his power to tear down that wall that Dusty has placed around her heart.
My Thoughts:
Sexy. Angsty. Emotional. All Consuming!
Stone Reeves set my kindle on fire with his alpha tendencies and his sweet nature. This man STOLE THE SHOW and my heart! From the very start I loved Stone and his caring nature. On the exterior this man is hard with a ‘no fucks to give’ attitude. But beneath the surface he has a heart of gold. I loved that most about him. He’s willing to step in and defend but he’s also willing to step back and protect. I couldn’t get enough of him.
I love the vulnerability both Dusty and Stone brought to this novel. They both have so much to loose but also the world to gain if they let down their walls and actually let people in. Time and time again my heart broke for Dusty and all that she went through. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I ‘almost’ cried throughout Dusty’s discovery to let the past go and focus on the heavy she needs to get through in the now. This girl has been through it ALL!
Overall, this was a great emotional read. I loved it from beginning to end! From the angst to the moments that made me swoon and smile, I couldn’t get enough.
Enemies is definitely a novel that has a ton of re-read potential! I can’t wait to dive into Stone and Dusty’s story again.
