Twist is the fourth book in the Off Balance series. It is very important you read the first three books in the series (Balance, Execution, Release) before diving into Twist. This is NOT a standalone series. You will be lost in this story line if you haven’t read the first three books.

Adrianna Rossi’s Olympic dreams are so close she can nearly feel them in her hands. Until something that is out of her control completely steps in and threatens each and every one of her dreams. Now Adrianna has to find her true strength and fight the impending threat and illness that is living within her body.

Kova has threats of his own to deal with, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to stand beside Ria and help her fight her way through all that’s stacked up against her. He’ll do anything in his power to help her through. To live with her.

This series is based on a very taboo relationship between an elite gymnast (Adrianna) and her Russian stud of a coach (Kova). It must be said, if you despise age gap romances that involve a 16 year old and a 32 year old, then this may not be the series for you.

When I first started this series, I had no clue what I was getting myself into. I just thought I would sit down and read an angsty story. I had no idea this story would be so fucking consuming. I had no clue what I was in for. Now It’s an endless array of cliffhangers and emotions. Of I can’t waits and I need mores. Of Prayers and hopes that these two will finally find their happily ever afters.

I have to give a round of applause to Lucia Franco for making it possible to sit in one spot a read a six hundred page book in one day. She has a way with words. Every page ties up another piece of my heart and shaves off another sliver of my soul.

Overall, Twist was another great addition to the Off Balance series. I loved the angst, I loved the relationship, and I loved the impending doom that waits around every corner. I truly never knew what was going to happen next. Kova and Ria’s story gets even better with every book published. But given that ending, I have no clue what is around the corner. But what I can say is my heart is in my throat. I need answers, and I need them now! So bottom line, if you love angsty love stories with a taboo vibe you should definitely pick this series up now and give it a read. Kova and Ria’s story is one that will never be forgotten, that’s for damn sure.
