From the New York Times bestselling author of the Driven series comes a powerful romance about reaching great heights through low depths.
Who says you have to play by the rules to get what you want?
Agreeing to meet Ryker Lockhart is my first mistake. Rich, handsome, and more than intriguing, he thinks blackmail will bend me to his will.
But he’s wrong.
I may have done a few things that weren’t exactly legal, but I have my own reasons for that. The last thing I’m going to do is let some high-powered divorce attorney come into my life, have my body, and rule my heart. Not to mention ruin everything that I have carefully built in just a short amount of time.
But as much as I try to resist him, and against my better judgment, there is something about him that has me agreeing to his proposal.
I’m putting everything on the line for him. I just hope I won’t lose everything when this is all over.

What the……
MIND BLOWN
…FUUUUDGE…..
Seriously, how can you leave us all hanging like that.
I’ve been speechless for the last two days, basically since I finished Resist by K. Bromberg.
This book ends with the holy grail of all freaking cliffhangers. I don’t know what to think. My mind is going everywhere right now. Every single scenario is floating around in my noggin.
About Resist:
Resist is the first book in K. Bromberg’s brand new Wicked Ways series. This novel is told from both Ryker and Vaughn’s point of view.
Vaughn is neck deep in debt and fighting to gain full custody of her niece. All the money in the world can’t make her troubles go away but it can sure try. That’s why Vaughn finds herself building an empire all on her own. An escort empire.
Ryker is a jaded greedy bastard, being a divorce attorney and watching his mother divorce sorry sap after sorry sap will turn a person that way rather quickly. Now his mentality, no connections and no strings. But when he meets a woman that gives him a run for his money and challenges him in a way that’s never been, he knows he needs to keep her close.
My Thoughts:
K. Bromberg brings us another epic tale of romance in the least expected ways. Two jaded souls with two broken hearts connect in this epic tale of fate working its magic.
Vaughn has issues a mile wide and an ocean deep. She not only lost her sister but she’s on the verge of losing her niece if she doesn’t come up with the money to pay her debt and prove to CPS that she can be the guardian her niece needs. I loved Vaughn’s fierce need to protect her niece. My heart broke so much for their situation and the need for stability that goes unoffered day after day. I looked forward to and adored the moments between Lucy and Vaughn. These two are all each other has. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!
Ryker was an anomaly throughout this novel. His hard exterior was nothing compared to the softie he was hiding. I loved this man, even through his slight assholish moments. He felt honest and true, He felt like he was a gift sent straight from god and addressed to Vaughn… But then shit happens and now I’m sitting here confused out of my everloving mind and feeling slightly jaded! That cliffhanger gutted me. ABSOLUTELY GUTTED ME! I don’t know what you’re thinking Bromberg, but i’m hoping like hell you can heal this broken heart soon.
Overall, Resist is the perfect start to what I can predict is going to be an EPIC series! I loved the raw emotion between Vaughn and Lucy and I loved the cutesy moments between Ryker and Lucy. At this moment, I am still grasping for words. I can’t believe the shit that went down. I cannot believe it! I need answers, and I need them now.
