When we were eleven, Oliver Ford Pemberton dared me to jump off a barn
roof. He said you couldn’t break a leg from a 12-foot jump.
He lied.
(You can also break a collarbone, which served him right as far as I was
concerned.)
I wish I could say it was the last dare I ever took from him, the last bet
I ever made with him, the last time I ever trusted Oliver Ford Pemberton.
But it wasn’t.
Because he had the nerve to grow up gorgeous, charming, and sexy. And as we
got older, the dares only got dirtier—and the betting stakes higher—until
finally, he left me in pieces.
I swore I’d never talk to him again.
But twenty years after I took that flying leap, he’s back in my life,
daring me to risk everything for him: my job, my self-worth, and my heart.
How many chances does true love deserve?

Melanie Harlow hit my heart in just the right spot with Undeniable!
Just as undeniably sweet as it is sexy! Everyone needs this book on their shelves!

Undeniable is the second book in the Cloverleigh Farms series by Melanie Harlow. Oliver and Chloe’s story can be read as a standalone!
From the moment they were born, Chloe and Oliver were in competition with one another. Given they were only a couple days born between the two, there was a little rivalry that always lived within them, but they were also as close as close can be. So close that their mothers always prayed the two would grow up and get married. But the moment Oliver dared Chloe to jump off a roof, those plans went out the window.
Now after years of competition, bickering, and broken hearts Oliver is back and he has an offer that Chloe is finding it hard to refuse. She’s careful around this man because Oliver is a liar and trust is something that no longer flows between them.

It never fails, every damn time I pick up a novel written by Melanie Harlow, my heart gets swept away. It could be the fact that the majority of her novels are located in Michigan and I’m a Michigan girl through and through. It could be the fact that these small town romances she tends to write leaves me feeling nostalgic and a tad bit homesick. It could be the fact that you feel more when you witness the growth between to characters. I’m pretty sure all three add up to make this novel just as flawless in my eyes as my heart had witnessed it playing out.
Oliver and Chloe’s tale takes us on a past and present adventure. I loved the fact that we were given this much of an insight to their full relationship. I loved witnessing the tender moments along with the pain and angst scenes. Nobody’s life is perfect, you’re going to have your ups and your downs. And I loved how Harlow brought both sides into this novel. The angst only makes the good times that much sweeter.
I easily fall for the childhood friends to lovers trope. But sometimes the childhood friends to lovers viewpoint can get a little muffled. I loved how Melanie Harlow gave a wide angled view point of Chloe and Oliver from start to finish. These two grew up close. They really had no choice but to be close, but it was more than that, there was irrevocable trust between the two, and the moment when Oliver bets Chloe to jump off a roof was proof that even though there was rivalry, there was still always trust.
As for the characters, I loved Chloe and her fiery personality. She is the perfect woman to put Oliver and his egotistical self in his place. I loved the endless banter between the two and the endless drama! These two are perfect for each other but their too damn stubborn to see what is standing right in front of them, which is often how childhood friends to lovers relationships work.
Overall, I can honestly see this story playing out in real life, which was another reason why I loved it so damn much. The romance and the friendship is easily relatable. I couldn’t get enough of the cute and sassy moments. I absolutely love novels that are set in Michigan, having lived in Michigan for ninety five percent of my life, I can easily see these places and imagine the beautiful scenery almost as if it was in front of me. I can already imagine this is going to be a story I will be rereading in the near future! I can’t wait to see what Melanie Harlow has up her sleeve next!
