Synopsis:

If it’s not broke don’t fix it. That was Cash’s motto in life, and his life was perfect. He was living the life of the lieutenant of The Last Riders, and had women at his beck and call. The only thing he saw himself settling down with in the future was a twelve pack; certainly not Rachel Porter, who was on his short no fuck list. Hell, she wasn’t even his type—her tits were too small, and her mean mouth could shrivel a man’s dick. How was he supposed to know she was special and worth putting up with those weed-producing hillbillies? Or was she?

Rachel had lived her whole life watching Cash break one woman’s heart after another. He was everything she shouldn’t want; a bad boy biker with enough sex appeal to make any woman want a night in his bed. Even her. Heck, he wasn’t even her type—he didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut, and he lived in a sex club. How was she supposed to know that he was special and worth putting up with the biker wars and biker bitches? Or was he?

Cash’s Fight is the fifth book in The Last Riders series by Jamie Begley but if you’re following her reading order, this would be the ninth book to read.

Throughout this entire series, Cash always stood at the back of my mind. I was a tad bit intrigued by him but sadly he didn’t hold as much interest to me as some of the other men in the series held. To be completely honest, I thought about skipping Cash’s story but when I read the blurb and saw he was going to be matched up with Rachel Porter, those thoughts and notions completely went out the window.

Rachel Porter is a legit badass, not only does she have flawless aim when working a shotgun, she also brings a spiritual vibe to this series with her Cherokee roots. Rachel’s ability to cure with her energy has been passed down from her grandmother to her mother and now to her. She was always warned not to give to much of herself when healing, because her abilities aren’t limitless. When Cash is in a horrible motorcycle accident Rachel is about to learn what exactly her mother and grandmother meant by her abilities not being limitless. I found this whole concept interesting, however, I wish Jamie Begley would have focused on this aspect just a tad bit more.

I liked Cash, but sadly I felt his story has been told in so many novels. He’s your typical manwhore who won’t change his ways for anyone, until fate intervenes and he sets his sights on the one he’s truly meant for. It was interesting to see him tweak the game a little though.

Overall, Cash’s Fight was just okay for me. I needed more from this storyline and the ending, it was a tad bit anticlimactic and felt rushed. Although I thought the standoff between the porter brothers and Cash was hilarious, I felt there needed to me something more.
