HAPPY FRIDAY!
First Line Fridays is a bookish meme created and hosted by Hoarding Books. The rules are simple, post the first line(s) of the novel you’re currently reading or in my case next up on your TBR. then head on over to Hoarding Books and link up. (also, if you’re a romance reader loving on those ab covers, be sure to write (mature) next to your linky if your post shows mature content.)
Today I’m featuring the first line(s) from the novel next up on my tbr!
King by Jamie Begley

“Are you sure you don’t want me to stay?”
“No, Lily. Go home with your husband; Henry will stay. With all the medications they’ve given me, I’m just going to sleep anyway,” King answered his daughter while his eyes surveyed the occupants of his hospital room.
About The Book
King
(The VIP Room #3)
By: Jamie Begley
King
My good intentions always led to disaster. The cold hard truth is that I was never meant to be a father to Lily. Staying in Treepoint, Kentucky for a few weeks to get to know my daughter was meant to be a time of discovery, instead I find out that she’s married to a killer and living in a sex club. I’m going to find out how to destroy The Last Riders and give Lily the future she deserves.
Evie
He thinks I’m a whore; he doesn’t know me. I’m nobody’s fool, but he thinks he’s going to use me to find The Last Riders only weakness. That’s his biggest mistake of all. There’s more to me than meets the eye. King thinks he’s too good for me, that I’m less than dirt in his eyes. What the King of Queen City is going to find out too late is that I’m his judge, and I hold his life in my hands.

Feel free to share your first lines in the comments below!
I would love to see what you all are reading ❤
Peace Love and Happy Reading,

Happy Friday!😉
My first lines come from Restaurant Weeks are Murder by Libby Klein…….
“I don’t care how good Dr. Oz says it is, I’m not eating vegan cheese.” Aunt Ginny took the last stuffed pheasant off the Fraser fir, wrapped it in tissue paper, and placed it in an old Woolworth’s hat box to store until next Christmas.
Have an awesome weekend and happy reading!💕
I’m sharing the first paragraph from a non-fiction book today, Code Name: Lise by Larry Loftis. Here is the line that follows:
“If his instincts were right, this was a girl who would throw herself headlong into danger.”
Happy Friday!
