Kip Carmichael is no pretty boy.
He’s a rough. Dirty. Giant. Hair so unruly, and a beard so thick, his friends on the team call him Sasquatch.
The first time Sasquatch lays eyes on Theodora “Teddy” Johnson across the keg at a party one night on Jock Row, she’d been relegated to the sidelines by her jock hungry “friends.”
Week-after-week, he watches beautiful but bashful Teddy getting overshadowed, and overlooked. Sasquatch finally broad shoulders his way through the crowd, offering to to be her hairy godmother. But the minute their eyes meet? He’s a goner.
Teaching her the RULES for winning a jock will be the easy part. Not falling in love with her is going to be a losing game.

Jock Rule is the second book in the Jock Hard series by Sara Ney. This novel can be read as a standalone.
About Jock Rule:
Kip Carmichael has one rule and that is to stay far away from jersey chasers and any woman looking for opportunity due to his wealthy status. Which in his book, means all women. So to conceal who he is he grows his hair out long and grows a beard. Just call him grizzly Adams… But when he sees a lonely woman standing by the keg at a party on Jock Row, curiosity starts to consume him.
All Teddy wants is to be accepted. She wants her high school best friend back, instead of the opportunistic jersey chaser her friend has become, she wants her degree, and she wants the fact that she comes from a poor household to remain a secret. When she finds herself alone, yet again, at another jock row party she starts to reexamine her life.
With the help of her very outspoken Hairy Godmother, Kip will soon show her the woman she once was isn’t the woman she wants to be.
My Thoughts:
There are so many factors for why I loved Kip and Teddy’s story. The first being the fact that Kip isn’t you’re typical romance hero. He’s laid back but also kind of ornery. He’s gruff and says exactly what he’s thinking. I loved his vibe! Kip’s way with telling Teddy how it was from an onlooker’s point of view is really harsh but being surrounded by people who constantly lie to her, his harsh honesty was a breath of fresh air.
I loved the endless banter between Teddy and Kip. There were moments when I legit couldn’t stop laughing.
I think the thing I loved most about this novel was the fact that it wasn’t insta lovey dovey. Sometimes what I really crave when reading romance novels is a build up relationship. I love when a friendship starts to form (no matter how odd that friendship may be) and then a relationship starts to evolve. So many novels skip over the friendship aspect. WIth Kip and Teddy, their friendship is odd but it’s there. It was great to see these two evolve and change for the better with the help of the other.
Overall, Jock Rule by Sara Ney is an epic read, one that I can easily and highly recommend! And to all those who love beards, you definitely don’t want to miss this one!
