Hello September!
Can you all believe it’s already September!? Where has the year gone… Summer is nearly over, fall is approaching quickly. I’m so ready for cooler temperatures, bonfires and my favorite drink….apple cider! I bet you thought I was going to say Pumpkin Spice….right? I feel like I’m the only female in Michigan that can’t stand the smell, taste, or look of anything Pumpkin or Pumpkin Spice…
In this post, I’m featuring all the things I’m looking forward to this month. You’ll get a glimpse of what books I’ll be reading, what TV shows I’ll be watching, and the movies that I legit can’t wait to see! So let’s get started.
September is going to be a great month for releases, In fact some of my most anticipated releases this year are releasing this month! These are the books I’m looking forward to the most.
Releasing on Sept. 7th.
Why It Made My List: L.J. Shen is the bomb! Everything this author writes is pure gold and an absolute addiction (in my opinion). I’m addicted to her Alpha A$$hole characters, and this man sounds like one of her best ever written!! Let’s also not forget the fact that this is an office romance..meaning so many antics these characters can get into!
More Of You (Confessions of the Heart #1) by A.L. Jackson
Releasing on Sept. 10th.
Why It Made My List: I love A.L. Jackson. She always has a way of putting deep emotion into her novels. Jace Jacobs sounds like my favorite type of bbf! A rebel without a cause. I can’t wait to dive into this one!
Block Shot (HOOPS #2) by Kennedy Ryan
Releasing on Sept 10th.
Why It Made My List: I absolutely loved Long Shot (HOOPS #1). In fact, it made my 2018 favorites list. I cannot wait to read Jared’s story!!! I’ve been in the mood for second chance romances lately. I’m also a fan of enemies to lovers romances. This one sounds epic!
Keeping Him (Bishop Brothers #4) by Kennedy Fox
Releasing September 18th.
Why It Made My List: Two Words….Jackson Bishop!!! OMG, I am literally obsessed with this series and Kennedy Fox saved the best for last. This book has all the potential to seriously shatter my soul. I can’t wait to cry my little heart out.
Guilty As Sin (Sin Trilogy #2) by Meghan March
Releasing September 18th.
Why It Made My List: If you’ve read Richer Than Sin, it should come as no surprise why Guilty As Sin made my list. Meghan March has a way with words. The vivid pictures she paints with her words makes this girl a fan for life! If you love second chance romance with a strong forbidden vibe, you should definitely add this trilogy to your tbr list!
Perversion (Perversion Trilogy #1) by T.M. Frazier
Releasing September 25th.
Why It Made My List: T.M. Frazier is the QUEEN when it comes to writing gritty dark romances that capture your every thought! Every time I have picked up a novel by this author I was immediately captivated. This one is high up on my most anticipated list! I can’t wait!
Strong (Stage Dive Novella) by Kylie Scott
Releasing September 25th.
Why It Made My List: The Stage Dive series is one of my favorite rockstar romance series! I cannot wait to dive back into this world and get a glimpse of the characters that still hold a special place on my bookshelf. If you’re a fan of rockstar romances or if you want to venture in the genre…definitely check this series out. It’s too great to be missed.
I wasn’t kidding when I said there were so many anticipated releases on my list. These are just a few of what I want to read this month! So many books so little time.
Tonight officially starts the fall series premieres on my list! I’m typically not much of a tv person. The show has to be seriously kickass for me to take the time away from my reading. Unlike my books and love for romance, I’m the complete opposite with television shows. I love action, adventure, and horror. Don’t get me wrong though, i do binge the occasional comedy and 90’s sitcoms. Anyways, enough rambling, let’s get into these series.
September 4th
Mayan’s M.C. (Season 1, 10pm on FX)
Why It Made My List:
Let’s be honest, we’ve all been craving more of the M.C. world ever since Sons of Anarchy ended! I’ve always loved the Mayan’s M.C. and I’ve wondered for the longest time if KS was going to write up a series based around their lives. I can’t wait to see Marcus Alvarez kicking ass and taking names! I’m so pumped about this show. Hopefully it lives up to all the expectations I have set.
PURGE (Season 1, 10pm on USA)
Why It Made My List:
When September rolls around, I get the urge to binge on horror movies and really anything with a scary vibe to it. I love the classic horror movies but recently Mr. Man and I watched The Purge and the sequels that followed. I have to say, these movies scared the living sh*t out of me. They felt a little too real at times and caused me to have some hellacious nightmares. When I heard Purge was being made into a tv serious, I was a little scared but totally excited. I’m not an easy person to scare and for a movie to scare the hell out of me…it was epic! Hopefully Purge follows along the footsteps of the movies and continues to scare me. Bring on the tremors!
September 12th
American Horror Story: Apocalypse (Season 8, 10pm on FX)
Why It Made My List:
OMG! This American Horror Story is taking my two favorite seasons (Murder House and Coven) and combining the two!!!! EEEK! I’ve been a longtime fan of American Horror Story since the first spooky season (Murder House). Throughout the series’ seasons though, I found myself growing bored. I love the thrill of the scare not the thrill of the gore. let’s not forget my fear of clowns and the past few seasons had clowns…..GRRR… Getting back on topic, I decided to give this season a chance considering it’s combining my two favorites. As with all shows, I hope this one also lives up to my expectations.
September 24th
The Big Bang Theory (season 12, 8pm on CBS)
Why It Made My List:
I have been a longtime fan of TBBT! Mr. Man and I have every season and we continuously binge watch them! I am sad that this is the last season, but all good things must come to an end. I am loving reading the speculations from longtime fans such as myself on how the series is going to end. ugh, I can’t believe its ending!!!!
Young Sheldon (Season 2, 8.30pm on CBS)
Why It Made My List:
If you all watch The Big Bang Theory, you probably know why Young Sheldon is on my most anticipated list! I freaking love Sheldon Cooper and after watching the first season of Young Sheldon, I am so ready for more! This kid does a perfect job of representing Sheldon Cooper in his younger days.
The Voice (Season 15, 8pm on NBC)
Why It Made My List:
I have watched every season of The Voice. I love the premise of this singing competition, plus an added bonus featuring Adam and Blake’s back and forth banter. I also love the fact that we can now play along with The Voice app!
Now for my most Anticipated Movies list! Sadly, there is only one movie I’m anticipating this month. But it’s a movie I’ve been looking forward to watching for a long time!
September 7th
The Nun (Horror)
Why It Made My List:
I am obsessed with the conjuring franchise and for a long time I have been dying of anticipation for The Hun to release….Finally, this weekend it releases and you better not go see it without me @reeltalkwithlexie!!! LOL!!
