August TBR

July TBR

chalala.script

Its August and with that we soon say goodbye to summer. I’m not ready for summer to end so this month I’ll be spending most of my time outside basking in the sun and the heat!

Today I’ve been pondering and looking at my bookshelves wondering if its useless or not for me to make a tbr. Let’s face the simple cold hard facts, when one has a bookshelf full of unread books, one usually likes to play it by ear and be choosy when deciding what to read next. Meaning, I never follow bookshelf TBRs…. However, last month I decided to do a paperback tbr and I actually stuck with it! So with that I came to the conclusion of why the hell not!

My TBR is going to be broken down into two parts. Part one is my arc tbr, books I absolutely have to read and review this month. Part two is my paperback/kindle tbr, these are books I am dying to get to, and will get to once I have room in my schedule.

Alright, enough rambling. let’s get to these books!

Blurb:

Returning home for her father’s wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at eighteen hadn’t been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad’s business partner sure was.

Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation—confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Add her father to the misunderstanding, and Pete was left with a broken nose and a business on the edge of ruin. The man had to be just as glad as everyone else when she left town.

Seven years later, things are different. Adele is no longer a kid, but a fully grown adult more than capable of getting through the wedding and being polite. But all it takes is seeing him again to bring back those old feelings.

Sometimes first loves are the truest.

A Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after. Our family feud is the stuff of legends.
Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes.

Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man.
She hates me, and she should.
I objected on her wedding day.
Now she’s home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there’s no ring on her finger.

I’ll never be done with her.

Antonio’s been burned before. Now he knows better than to trust a pretty face and follow another pair of long, beautiful legs into heartbreak. But while Libby might rub him the wrong way, he can’t deny the heat between them. And it only burns hotter when she steps up in his time of need. The closer they get, the more he realizes he may have misjudged her. Then again, he doesn’t know the secret Libby’s keeping that could send their relationship up in flames before it’s even begun.

Dirty Past (The Burke Brothers Series)
By: Emma Hart

Format: Kindle

Read Today (affiliate link):
https://amzn.to/2MkV1XT

Blurb:

Walking out on my wedding wasn’t my best idea.

Neither was throwing my cell in the lake and taking a job as PA for Dirty B, America’s favorite rock band, complete with every teen girl’s dream man, the eldest of the Burke brothers.

Tate Burke is pure sex. Women actually throw their panties at him during shows. And Ella Dawson is the lucky little thing that gets to escort their fangirling butts out when he’s done with them.

Yay.

He’s a cocky son of a bitch, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. Every now and then Ella gets a rare glimpse of the Tate behind the “bad boy” act, and it attracts her in the most annoying way. The most annoying, heart-thumping, panty-wetting way.

When her abusive ex turns up at the hotel room Ella and Tate are sharing, raging mad, she knows she’ll need more than just a little protection. Tate sees red, and Ella can’t help but lean on him, despite his bad-boy ways.

And now? Now, he’s in a whole lot of trouble.

There are so many books I am dying to read. The above books are set in stone. I know I’ll read more than eight books this month by after writing up another ‘Down The TBR Hole’ post I came to a conclusion that I am slacking indefinitely on my goodreads tbr. My goal is to read five ‘neglected’ books that I have decided to keep on my tbr. So far, this month I decided to read Dirty Past by Emma Hart and a few others you will see in my upcoming WWW Wednesday posts! Don’t you love the element of surprise! What are you reading this month?

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
