Chasing Him by Kennedy Fox is Now Available! (Release Blitz & Review)

John Bishop isn’t your typical single dad.

Reserved, impatient, and utterly clueless.

Running the family’s bed and breakfast has many perks. Working long hours, picking up after the guests, and hearing couples going at it all night long aren’t any of them. Hooking up with girls who come to the ranch for horseback riding lessons? Best perk of them all.

That is until a baby shows up at his doorstep with a note claiming it’s his. Growing up on a ranch was anything but easy, but raising a newborn is proving to be the hardest task he’ll ever tackle. Leaving the bachelor life behind, his only priority is to hire a nanny who can teach him a thing or two about parenting—except he doesn’t anticipate her being gorgeous and quirky with an unhealthy football obsession.

Mila Carmichael has many talents—making balloon animals, creating origami art, and remaining in the friend zone. Often seen as one of the guys, she’s struck out more times than a rookie baseball player.

Seeking a new adventure, she flies to Texas to visit family and is offered a position she can’t refuse. Helping out a new dad should come easy to her, considering her past experience, but what she doesn’t anticipate is him being an attractive Southern temptation.

But that’s only the beginning.

While growing close to his family and falling madly in love with the baby girl who’s stealing their hearts, things are bound to get complicated. Everyone knows not to mix business with pleasure. That means no late movie nights, no stolen glances, and definitely no kissing behind closed doors. Too bad the universe has other plans—one that’ll threaten taking away the main thing that binds them together.

John’s POV

As soon as I walk into the living room, I see Mila in tight blue jeans and a low cut shirt that shows way too much cleavage.

“Nope.” Resting my hands on my hips, I look at her, trying not to stare at her chest. It doesn’t help that her nipples are hard as a damn rock either. Fuck. Eyes up.

“Nope, what?” she asks, furrowing her brows in confusion as she grabs Maize out of the swing.

“You can’t wear that shirt. Actually, we should probably set some ground rules since you’ll be staying here around the clock.”

Mila rolls her eyes and kneels down in front of the carseat. She’s dressed Maize in an outfit that says something about Grandma being her favorite, and I know Mama is going to love it. “Is that what you do ‘round here? Make rules for everyone?” She arches an eyebrow with a cocky smirk on her face.

Tilting my head, I narrow my eyes and study her. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Ask Jackson.” She carefully places Maize in the car seat and straps her in. I suck in a deep breath remembering the nanny rules I’d given Jackson, the ones she wasn’t supposed to hear.

“Jackson needs rules. He has zero boundaries. And it’s not like he listens to anyone anyway. Trust me. It’s an open invitation to flirting and ridiculous comments from him. So you can’t be wearing shirts like that around him.”

“…or I can’t be wearing shirts like this around you?” she quips, not paying any attention to how frustrated I’m becoming. “I think I can handle Jackson, so stop worrying yourself.”

“Whatever, Mila.”

She straightens up and looks me dead in the eyes. “You’re my boss and you can make any crazy rules you want when it comes to your baby, but you don’t get to tell me what I can and can’t wear, unless you’re instating a dress code for me and if that’s the case, I want a raise and a clothes allowance then.”

I scoff, crossing my arms over my chest that’s rising and falling rapidly. “How much for you to wear baggy overalls and turtlenecks every day?”

“You’ve got jokes, do you?” she mutters, not amused. “Why not just put a chastity belt on me too while you’re at it?”

I grunt, thinking that’s not a bad idea actually.

Book Review

✰ ✰ ✰ ✰ ✰

Chasing Him is the third book in the Bishop Brothers series.
Now it’s John Bishop’s time to find his happily ever after!

My first reaction after reading the blurb for Chasing Him was extreme excitement. Even though I’m highly anticipating Jackson’s story, John’s story has also always been on my mind. After reading Needing Him (Bishop Brother’s #2) and getting a glimpse into John’s story at the end, I knew this novel was going to be that much more than the previous two.

John Bishop is the manager of his family’s B&B, his life is all about work and helping his family, THat is until he finds a baby and a letter on his doorstep. Now he has no choice but to change his schedule and add fatherhood to the list.

Mila Carmichael has always dreamed of becoming an elementary teacher and teach at the school she attended as a child. When Mila finds out that her crush who also happens to be her best friend has a baby on the way, she does what any red-blooded woman would do. She escapes town and heads to Texas to visit her Grams and Papaw.

OMG! I can’t explain well enough how I feel about a single father romance, but combine that with a secret baby romance and I’m a complete goner. John did exactly what I expected him to do when faced with this type of situation. He pulled up his britches and became the father that his baby girl (Maize) deserved. Now that right there is what a true swoon worthy moment is all about. A man with a baby is the perfect aphrodisiac.I also can’t get over how freaking adorable Mila and Maize’s relationship is. Mila is known to her family as ‘The Baby Whisperer’ due to the fact that she had a helping hand with raising her younger siblings. When Mama Rose catches wind that there is a baby whispered in town, she makes it her mission to hire Mila as Maize’s nanny and help John out.

Mama Rose is my absolute favorite character! This woman is fierce and I love how she is always meddling in her boy’s love lives. She wants them grandbabies and she’ll do whatever she has to do to get them. I look forward to the scenes where Mama Rose appears. She’s the ultimate book mom!

It’s very rare to find a series that gets exceptionally better with each novel. I went from Alex being my favorite to Evan being my favorite, and now I have to, again, admit John is my favorite. I’m loving the fact that with each story my emotional investment towards these characters goes up a notch.

Overall, I still remain completely blown away by the Bishop Brother’s series and the amount of emotion poured into each novel. Every time a new book releases is like Christmas morning! Chasing Him…so far…is my new favorite. Nothing compares to John, Mila, and Maize. I loved the understanding and the truth that is between Mila and John. I loved the fact that there was no unnecessary drama. There was no misunderstanding and lack of communication. Chasing Him is a brilliant novel with a love that can trump all obstacles! I will definitely be rereading this book in the future!

Peace Love and Happy Reading,
