Unexpected Love Story is book 2 in the Love series by Natasha Madison. Book one (Perfect Love Story) told a tale of heartbreak and a fate that is to strong for anyone to break. Now it’s time to see this story from two different Point of views. I have been waiting for Crystal and Gabe’s story since I finished reading Perfect Love Story (Love #1). I’ve literally built this couple up in my head to be the type of couple with loads of spice and a never-ending back and forth banter relationship. I’m going to keep this as spoiler free as I can

When I started Unexpected Love Story, I thought of Crystal as the strong woman who was the rock for her cousin Hailey. Throughout the first book I thought Crystal was unbreakable, until I picked up Unexpected Love Story and realized no one is unbreakable. Everyone has moments that shatter them.

Gabe is the hottie doctor with a chip on his shoulder caused by a broken heart. After a one night stand Gabe wakes up to realize the woman who goes by ‘Jane Doe’ is gone. He finds it upsetting that he cares to much. People who care this much normally get their hearts ripped out. He’s written it off as a spectacular one night stand, Until he walks into his office and finds his Jane Doe is Crystal, his new nurse.

My Thoughts:

I always try to be completely honest in my reviews and in doing so I have to admit, I was expecting a little more from this novel and this couple. I wanted more of the raw passion that comes from two heartbroken people stepping out and starting on a new path. I wanted to feel more of the fear that comes with entering a new relationship and feeling that undeniable lust and love. I also wanted more of the push and pull from Crystal and Gabe.

Even though I was expecting more from this novel, I still recommend Unexpected Love Story to those who are looking for a fun office type romance involving a hot doctor and a spitfire of a nurse!

I can’t wait to read Broken Love Story!!! I have a feeling Blake and Samantha’s story is going to be heart shattering!
