Loving her is the biggest fight of his life…
Home from the Marines, Noah Cortez has a secret he doesn’t want his oldest friend, Kristina Moore, to know. It kills him to push her away, especially when he’s noticing just how sexy and confident she’s become in his absence. But, angry and full of fight, he’s not the same man anymore either. Which is why Warrior Fight Club sounds so good.
Kristina loves teaching, but she wants more out of life. She wants Noah—the boy she’s crushed on and waited for. Except Noah is all man now—in ways both oh so good and troubling, too. Still, she wants who he’s become—every war-hardened inch. And when they finally stop fighting their attraction, it’s everything Kristina never dared hope for.
But Noah is secretly spiraling, and when he lashes out, it threatens what he and Kristina have found. The brotherhood of the fight club helps him confront his demons, but only Noah can convince the woman he loves that he’s finally ready to fight for everything.

4.5 Stars!
Fighting For Everything by Laura Kaye is a novel about dealing with PTSD. Noah’s story is heartbreaking and emotional. If PTSD is a trigger for you, go into this novel prepared.
Noah Cortez had a good life. He had a best friend that would do anything for him, he had a family that loved him unconditionally, and he had a job that took sacrifice and bravery. That is until it all ended with an IED explosion. Now Noah is home after being medically discharged and diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Noah’s story was difficult to read. His pain and his panic when dealing with everyday situation and emotions literally had my heart frantically racing. I wanted to reach into this novel and give this man a hug. I learned firsthand that Laura Kaye does not sugar coat these two mental health illnesses. His situations felt real, the flashbacks literally gave me shivers. I can’t even imagine what people living with TBI and PTSD face on a daily basis. It breaks my heart.
I loved the friendship between Noah and Kristina. Kristina is a character made up of strength. To deal with the new knowledge that the man who was once your best friend isn’t the man who now stands in front of her, and to slowly fall for a man that she knows will fight to the death to protect her from his ‘episodes’ is something only a woman with strength can survive.
My heart broke every time she pulled and he pushed. I felt for the both of them because in the end Noah was only pushing to protect Kristina from the hurt he knew she would endure if she handed over her heart to him.
I really enjoyed how MMA came into the storyline. I loved Mo and Mack! Fighting For Everything is a novel that is one of pure strength and bravery. Noah and Kristina’s story brought tears to my eyes.
Overall, I fell in love with this broken man and his best friend’s story! Fighting For Everything is the first novel I have read by Laura Kaye. After finishing this novel, it is safe to say, I will be looking for this author for future reads! I’m a fan.
