It has been a long time since I’ve read a true to the root NEW ADULT novel! I have to admit, Ilsa Madden-Mills definitely knows her shit when it comes to writing new adult! I’m still feeling all swoony over here and its been close to a week since I finished reading I Dare You! If you all love epic love stories, you are in for a treat! I Dare You is a fun new adult novel about two complete opposites finding friendship and love in each other! EEEK, I’m all about the nerdy girl getting the hottie footballer!
After catching her ex boyfriend in bed with another woman, Delaney is over football players. Now she spends her time focused on other more important things, like her cat. That is until she receives a text message from an anonymous being adding a little spice to her life. Let’s also not forget a certain football player she kissed two years ago at a field party is also back in the picture.
“Legend says the first person you kiss at the party is the one you’ll never forget. It might be years later, and still their face is the one you dream about.”
Maverick Monroe has it bad for the nerdy chick he kissed at a field party two years ago, but she’s always been off-limits due to the fact that she was dating his team’s kicker…Until now. Now all bets are off the table and he’s going for what he wants.
This novel was so much fun to read with just the right amount of angst to get my heart pumping. I loved how different Maverick is from most jock type characters. He’s a jock but also a nerd. He’s into football but loves He-Man and Star Wars talk. Which makes him a perfect fit for Delaney.
Overall, There’s so much I can say about this novel, but I literally can’t find the words. If you’re looking for a fun novel that will have you laughing and on the edge of your seat I highly recommend I Dare You by Ilsa Madden-Mills!
