So here you are…
Turning the pages, opening the next chapters of my life—wanting to know the next truths of my sins. As if the first half of my life wasn’t enough.
You. Need. More.
You want my redemption.
My heart. My soul.
Your happily ever after…
You. Want. Answers.
And I will grant you the very first one you’re dying to know.
Why did I leave her?
So go ahead.
Turn the page.
I dare you.
You just might not like the answer.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
“Stop! I hate you, Damien! Do you hear me? I fucking hate you!” she yelled over
and over again, aching to make herself and me believe it.
My heart broke.
loved her. Battling her hateful words with my loving ones. I could feel she was
reaching her breaking point, as much as she could. Her wrist suddenly slipped
through my grip and she shoved me with so much force that she was able to slap
me across the face. Going full speed to do it again, but I intervened by
grabbing her forearm, pinning her to the blanket. Locking down her petite frame
with my flawed heart and beaten body.
tears cascading down the sides of her face. For a moment, I allowed her to take
my breath away. In my eyes, she’d never looked so fucking beautiful.
breathtaking.
mine…
continued to shudder from my intense, overpowering love. Overwhelming her
emotions and overriding her thoughts the way only I could ever do. Before
another second slipped by, I kissed her for all the years I didn’t, for all the
times I couldn’t, for all the moments I so desperately wanted to. Losing myself
in her. Almost like I was trying to kiss the agony and pain I caused right out
of her. Wanting to hold her tormented burdens, inflicted solely by my mistakes
and regrets.

El Pecador is the 2nd book in the Saint-Sinner Duet. In order to understand the storyline better, I highly suggest you read El Santo first. Damien and Amira’s story continues with El Pecador. After the ending of El Santo and the cliffhanger of the century, you can safely assume that I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat for El Pecador to release!
From the very beginning I’ve been intrigued by Damien. He’s this fierce vengeful man with the face and heart of an angel, He’s done everything in his power to protect the two people he loves most in the world, but sometimes everything you can possibly do sometimes is never enough. Amira has a vengeance of her own to seek. After Damien walked out of her life taking her heart along with him she’s turned towards the evil side of the spectrum. Damien’s about to realize his angel is no longer an angel, in fact his angel may just be the corrupted sinner he’s always tried to protect her from turning into.
I have a routine when diving into a novel written by M. Robinson… And yes, I’m serious. My routine is simple, before I start reading, because lets face it. One never knows when M. decides she wants ‘all the tears’ It could be at the very beginning of the novel, during the middle, or at the end. The tearful moments are always unsuspecting and brutal as hell. Anyways, I get my box of tissues, fill my glass up with whatever alcohol I have in the house, and lock myself in my bedroom so Mr. Man can’t make fun of my never-ending tears.
Now the reason why I jotted down my routine for you all, is simple. I thought I had M, I was on the second half of the novel and I was feeling VICTORIOUS! I should have known it was a trap. Because right when I started letting my guard down, out of nowhere, SHIT HIT THE FAN!! I’m talking serious shit type shit. I’m still shaking my head at the twist that was thrown in my face!
That is the reason I keep coming back for more, I love the fact that M. Robinson always seems to catch her readers, me included, off guard. I thought I had Damien and Amira’s story mapped out and then….BAM….the story went in a completely different direction. I was definitely on the edge of my seat throughout this whole novel!
If you’re looking for an on the edge of your seat read, I highly suggest the Sinner-Saint Duet by M. Robinson!
